If a single name undermines your argument, you need a better argument.

It doesn't undermine shyt. How many teams did horry Lead key word lead to a championship. Was he ever finals MVP. Nobody ever gives Pippen credit for 2 three peat. Mario Chalmers isn't considered a championship caliber point guard.

:snoop: ESPN dikk-riding for Bron continues to get worse. I ain't even a Jordan stan, but he is the GOAT, they need to just stop comparing players to him, nobody will ever be on his level. Bron already lost twice in the finals, that right there takes him out the GOAT contention against Jordan. Bron is already one of the best to do it, but he's just not Jordan, let him be himself, the Jordan vs. ..... is getting old, they gotta dead it, shyt is mad unoriginal now.
That's just a stupid stupid Stephen A Smith argument.

You really expected the Cavs to beat the Spurs in 07?

Jordan always had the best team every time he was in the finals. That's why he was 6-0. Not even Jordan could beat a superior team. Look at all the first round exists he had earlier in his career.

Then you are talking about something else entirely, no? :smugfavre:

I was pretty young back then, but this is how I remember the Bulls Championship odds.

1. Laker - There seemed to be a slight edge to the lakers, at least in the media.

2. Blazers - Bulls easily

3. Suns - I don't really remember. That team was good though. And some people swore Dan Majerle was going to own MJ.

4. Sonics - Damn good team, faced possibly the GOAT team in the bulls though. Sonics were underdogs, but damn talented ones.

5 - 6. Jazz - some Mormons were convinced the Jazz would win

No not at all.

MJ won 6 championships. Horry was on Shaq and Duncan's team when they won their championships.

Break horry's leg and sideline him for the playoffs and Shaq and Duncan still got their rings. Let MJ retire and play baseball and Pippen goes ringless for two years.

So it's a question of total contribution to team's success?

i.e., Player Efficiency Rating :pachaha:

I agree with although the lakers arguably had the better team in 1990.

Worthy
Magic
Perkins
Green

greater than everyone outside of Jordan and Pippen

Lakers had no edge. They lost half of their team to injuries.

Success being the key word.

Player Efficiency Doesn't really mean much if your team loses.

The player with the greatest contribution to the most success is how i would word it.

Horry has seen great success but little contribution

Wilt gave great Contribution but had little success

So, the best player on the best team? Because Jordan without Pippen probably would have resulted in 0 rings as well.

Measuring a player like KObe purely by rings or primarily by rings is stupid. Wade in 2006 and Dirk in 2011 had far more impressive runs to get their rings. Lebron making it to the finals in 2007 was impressive. A player like Kobe should not be given extra credit for having better teammates.

What about the fact Kobe blew the 2004 finals by being a ballhog? He lost that series through willful stupidity.

:childplease: Those Blazers and Suns on paper had as much, if not more talent than the Bulls, but Jordan went crazy and made the Bulls better. And everybody in 07 was on Bron's d!ck, and don't be bringing up that revisionist history about how bad Bron's cast was, when Bobbie Gibson was going lights out against the Pistons, and Larry Hughes, Big Z, and even Drew Gooden were playing out of there minds. Plus, those 07 finals were competitive and close, but Bron didn't have it in him at the time to win it. Yes in hindsight, Bron didn't have that much talent around him, but at that time in 07, and with the how good the Cav's were playing, hardly anyone was bringing up the lack of talent around Bron.

JORDAN NEVER LOST WHEN HIS TEAM WAS FAVORED IN A SERIES...
BRON LOST AS THE FAVORITE 3 POST SEASONS IN A ROW.
ORL,BOS,DAL
GTFOH WITH THAT 07 shyt.

NEXT EXCUSE...
Lebron averaged damn near 40/9/9 vs the Magics. You really going to put that one on him?

Lebron disappeared in game 3, but outside of that one game he played great. He just didn't have any help.

Can't explain Dallas.
