I’ve never been a politics type of guy. Wasn’t in the military, wasn’t in the regular work force, and certainly wasn’t in real life until recently..
And only because I could see a drastic change in the political and real world from the way people talk, act, and were behaving just in everyday shyt. Like, some how it got worse over the past few years (basically after the first Trump term).
I couldn’t believe people here are so blatantly IGNORANT…ignorant to everything and arrogantly so. I used to think it be mainly white women acting entitled but now it’s damn near everyone out here.
Mainly disappointed in the people more so the politicians. I always felt like it was 2 sides of the same coin, and this “left vs. right” is just flat out dumb as fukk… like it’s a game.
Everything is a game to people out here, but no sense of urgency when shyt becomes real until it’s probably too late.

I lurk in non-political type threads on Reddit and it’s a general consensus that this shyt is retarded.
(At least by normal, everyday people. Not the ones in those “Left vs. Right” obvious division forums).
Those farmers were also expecting bailouts like last time from a vid I saw from an ex-farmer lady on Youtube who ran locally as a Democrat in her majority redneck/Republican voting area. She exposed a lot of farmers because they knew this shyt was going to happen, but they thought Trump gave af about them like last time, when he doesn’t. He no longer needs their money or vote.
Historians are going to look back at this time and put it on social media as a big reason for all this. People would rather listen to a comforting opinion than an inconvenient fact. Social media allows them to build echochambers(a.i. chat bots, forums, followers on social media and preferred podcasters, content creators, preferred news sources and streamers) the effect it can have on people is so strong it's like drying out an alcoholic or a heroin addict. When they get even a taste of reality outside of their preferred version of it, they react insanely.
Look at all the discourse around that dead conservative. The moment the shyt happened i knew it would turn into a circus. Before knowing anything about the shooter, I knew people would have statements ready operating under the assumption that it was done for political reasons. Content creators went into overdrive with speculation and takes and policing people's reactions. All of that activity generated likes, dislikes, views, and comment section flame wars.
The things that people are drawn to(violence, sex, human stupidity) are pumped out 24/7 on nearly every platform because attention is a valuable currency. You stepped out of the classroom to take a bathroom break and came back to see 70% of people behaving like the class clown because he got a huge reward for acting ridiculous so now everyone else is trying to replicate his success.
People are being changed by being online too much. I knew before the details came out that the shooter's beliefs and politics would be incoherent or contradict one another, just like the two people who took a shot at Trump. And when the beliefs aren't incoherent they're right wing, like the guy who killed the MN politicians (whose names I've already forgotten because the media didn't give a shyt) or the guys who tried to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer or the guy who showed up with a hammer hoping to beat Nancy Pelosi to death or all the people who broke into the Capitol with nooses talking bout how they want to hang mike pence.
A frenzy has been unleashed and it is too lucrative to try and tamp it back down. I have hope though, hope that the unemployment and growing costs of living will FORCE people out of those echochambers. If they cant pay their internet bills which would allow them to engage in their echochambers, if they cant pay to send money to their favorite content creator, it will make people have to seek out other ways of interacting with people. I said earlier in the thread that uber and doordash will become huge employers. The irony is those jobs force others to interact with people. You cant browse Twitter as much when your job and survival depends on you locking in when you get a notification for a pickup or delivery. People who lose their jobs will be forced to interact with the same blue haired liberals they've been trained to hate who are the VAST majority of people working at food banks, rent banks, clothing exchanges, etc. The black people they hate so much would be the people working with black churches to volunteer with meal programs or to get school supplies. The poverty that the right in this country is about to create will force people to actually go through social media withdrawal and start to re engage with actual reality.
