Lin isnt getting 40 mill

:what:

after this im not sure why people are still responding to this clown..

and then to add on that saying you got 2 years to get under the cap sounds even dumber when you are cutting salary for an unproven player who is not going to get you over the top

but im gone.. turned from some ignorant race baiting to knicks bashing with no common sense.. i dont see the knicks as a go nowhere team as currently constructed but cant see myself defending them on the coli

A huge name and brand? WTF is this nikka Trip smoking? Linsanity died months ago. You obviously don't know about America's ADD culture. Lin will never be as popular as he was that month.

I disagree with that but whatever its your opinion/conspiracy.

Let me ask you this, in terms of what he's capable of doing on the court, do you believe Lin is worth the contract that's currently constructed for him?

Merely based on the fact we cant use that money on anyone else, yes...I think they should match it.

Dolan paying the luxury tax means nothing to me as a fan. We've seen it before on shyttier rosters than this one.

To mentor?

Doesn't matter Knicks are irreverent yet again, linsanity was the only reason most folks were checking for them

Now they are not even the best team in their city, capped out with selfish players none who play defense cept their center.

Felton is a scrub, and Jason Kidd will prob drive into another telephone pole

Yet this is coming from a man who's team biggest off season move was signing Landry fukking Fields :russ:

Go sit down somewhere.

At the end of the day the Knicks have essentially said that they don't really need a young PG to be successful and they'd be wrong. Yes they are overpaying for Lin, but again, this league is starved for PG's and Lin would've been the best on the team. Clearly the Rockets think he's worth the money.

smh. these knicks

Either there was some saltiness when the linsanity thing happened, or he lost the locker room when he decided to sit out for the playoffs because It's rare for the team not to have another players back, especially when its dealing with finances. shyt is strange.

I don't think "we might as well, we've done dumb shyt before in the past" is a good reason to sign anybody

Actually it's not, there's a bunch of good pgs in the league right now.

Clearly the Rockets think he's worth the money.
This is a team that already let two better pgs (Brooks, Lowry) go. I'm definitely not impressed with their thought process.

it's not dumb though...if it were to prohibit us from going after a better player then yes it would be dumb...but the Lin money cant be used on anyone else.

What's so funny? Even though it's 14 mill teams love expiring contracts if Lin doesn't work out they just flip his expiring contract to the many teams who would love a 14 mill expiring contract.

And in 2014/2015 they only have 3 guys under contract making like 6 mill total
:wtf:
You do realize in order to do that the Knicks would have to take back an equally sh*tty contract(s) right?

It's not like the Clippers are going to be like, "Oh great an expiring contract! Here's Chris Paul!":comeon:

The closer we are to the tax line, the easier it is to shed dead weight and sign new players with the full MLE.
