How does the 3rd worst team in the conference overtake the 7th best in one off season with one team gaining a talented, but predominantly iso player and the other losing a PG who's turnover prone while playing well in a known PG friendly system?

Nets were 22-44 after nothing really turbulent. They were just shytty except their PG.
Knicks were 36-30 after coaching changes and tons of injuries involving their best players.

This is a serious question to you or anyone that believes the Nets are better than the Knicks.
