He was. But he was walking around with an assault rifle waving it at people. That is going to illicit a hostile response. Those men thought a mass shooting was about to happen, and tried to stop him.

Both things can be true.

shyttenhouse created the danger he can’t claim self defense if he provided the situation from the start

Bruh, I've been accused of being a c00n or an agent for supporting things like universal healthcare and free college. We got dudes on here OPENLY supporting white supremacists and not a peep for that crowd. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm:patrice:

You know, one hypothetical situation I've been thinking about with regards to the equal application of this self defense stuff is when person A is selling drugs on a block and person B tries to take the block with force. If person A kills person B with a gun will they be able to get off with self defense laws?

I can't imagine this judge acting the same if person A and person B are black.

It will be difficult for A because they were in commission of a crime (drug dealing) while using the weapon.
They would still make the self-defense case but I think they would get charged and convicted for something.

You see this shyt in Boxing/MMA circles as well

lame fukks want to live out their Clint Eastwood/Tyler Durden fantasies

then be shocked motherfukkers shoot and fight back, and that there might be consequences for their bullshyt.

And all of this from the personal responsibility "selfish" crowd.

No matter how much you want to hate the dude and why he showed up in the first place, legally he is right.

Just because the justice system is unfair, doesn't mean the solution is to perpetuate and ingrain the unfairness of the system further. The goal is to remove it in the first place and people who "think" with their emotions don't realize they are making the situation worse for everyone by perpetuating it themselves. If there is no one arguing against the injustice consistently then that is as good as solidifying the injustice of the system itself because you've also started to buy into it. This means even if you despise the person, you should want to see the justice system operate as impartially and fairly in all cases in order to justify why in the cases its someone you emotionally feel is more deserving can be put in contrast to an example of a fair judgment and therefore increasing the chances of successfully arguing their just treatment as well. Once you cede the ground on that, it's over.

The fact of the matter is that the video and evidence shows that they attacked him first and in that case its self defense. It is what it is. Doesn't matter he crossed state lines or open carried. His right to self defense supersedes all that. Which should be the same for everyone.

You don't want to create a precedence where defending yourself is a criminal act. When you have one of the dudes shot saying "yeah... He shot me after I pointed my gun at him" then it's kind of clear what happen. The video also shows the other two dudes attacked him first. :yeshrug:

1) he was threatening to shoot them from the second he stepped out of his Mom’s car. Dude baited them.

2) Crossing state lines illegally, with a firearm.. combined with the screen shots of him offering his ‘services’ while being armed is textbook intent. And the carrying is a separate charge.

There really isn’t any way you (or anyone) can try to flip this. There really isn’t. But do you. :yeshrug:
