if we're talking strictly rap then Wu-Tang beats them
if we're talking overall artistry they're top 3 at least

For better or worse Three 6 is more influential than Wu Tang. I'm huge fan of both, but Wu's influence isn't still being felt in Rap like Three 6's is.I feel like WuTang clan is the only group that could objectively argue that point. Other than that, Juicy J got every right to say and feel that way. 3 6 Mafia been influential as fukk.
I absolutely love the Hot Boy$, but When The Smoke Clears had streets on lock summer 2000. Sippin on Some Sizzurp, Tongue Ring, etc. were huge on the block, in the whips, especially to the non-Nelly crowdGuerilla Warfare and Get It How You Live
HotBoys
They have no album that had a bigger impact than the ones I listed by the Hot Boys, especially that Guerilla Warfare album.
Not one of their albums ran any summer
Hot boys out shined you on their own shyt. Playa Why You Hating
Y'all let Baby outshine you all on their own shyt

Wu is the GOAT Rap Group, but I'm not mad at anyone that makes an argument for other groups like 3 6, ATCQ, Kast, NWA.
Bone Thugs, they’re birthed styles of Migos, Future and every rapper doing the double time flows.
I know Bone was the first to do this on a mainstream level, but didn't this flow come from the West Side of Chicago?Bone Thugs, they’re birthed styles of Migos, Future and every rapper doing the double time flows.

I'll have to re-visit some early Triple 6 Mafia, but I thought some of them/the affiliates (Kingpin Skinny Pimp for example) were using this flow too. I know Bone was influenced by the Triple 6 Mafia demonic vibes. I don't remember if the 3-6/Bone beef was just about bone "biting" the demonic ish, or if it was about them using the fast flow too.
Exactly
Yeah 3 6 is definitely more influential than Wu is. That's why I have no problem with nikkas saying 3 6 the goat group.
I feel like its those 2 groups at the top. Then....NWA, and then everyone else after that.
That sound was born in the Midwest. Not one group or artist can really "claim" they made it. Everybody pretty much stayed to themselves, until Bone dropped "Look into my Eyes" and called everybody "Clones" in that magazine interview. This was the Midwest version of "The Bridge Wars"I know Bone was the first to do this on a mainstream level, but didn't this flow come from the West Side of Chicago?

This is false. Three Six may be more influential to this generation, but overall, no. Just to give you an example, the Wu "W" was adopted by Black Panther for Wakanda to promote that movie and Wu had nothing to do with the movie or soundtrack. That is influence. When Odd Future first came out, who were they compared to. There's an entire mini-series based on Wu Tang. Kanye, Just, The Heatmakerz were influenced by RZA's production. Drake re-made a Wu song. I'm not even a Wu fan.
whatever you say my nikka![]()
Put it this way, what if someone pushed Mase into a GOAT conversation based on influence. Clearly, he influenced Fabolous, 50 Cent, Eminem, and Kanye West. All of them either cited him as an influence or they sound like him. In 2013, he had Jay Z and Drake quoting bars from "Feel So Good".
