Well I did assume the director was talking more, so Maki's revenge on the Zenin clan which should happen in the 1st half of S3. Rather than the rematch which I think would be during the culling games? You also have Hikari's introduction as the other big moment in the preparation arc.

Now if there is a 2nd half or 2nd cour that's where the other stuff would get animated. And man Mappa got there hands fool with that we have.

JFC that is more fights than I remembered looking at the wiki before the Gojo fight. Mappa is going to need a break between the preparation arc and the actual culling games arc. And not like a delay, but like a full year break and call Culling Games S4. (Unless the prep arc would be considered a movie?)

You got like 6-8 major fights. Regardless how bad reading the arc and how it ended. It will have some amazing fights.

Part 1 will be way more than that.

Yuta vs Yuji is like 2 and a half chapters of the manga. The whole presentation of the Zen'in clan, Yuta vs Yuji AND the gang vs Naoya is 7 chapters. That whole thing is gonna be done in 3 chapters AT MOST.

Then you get the whole exposition stuff with Tengen + a couple of episodes recruiting Hakari.

My guess is Maki's parricide will last 2 and a half episodes with other stuff intertwined (probably the Hakari recruitment).

At most, I see Extermination and Perfect Preparation arc lasting 7-8 episodes.


If they do two normal cours of 12 eps each, that means we get at least the start of the CG, probably introducing Higoruma, Takaba, Angel and Kashimo () in some form or fashion so that Part 2 can animate most of the fights the manga has.

• Yuji Itadori vs. Haba & Hanyu (half and ep. Mappa might not skip it because it's the first intro, Might be in part 1)
• Yuji Itadori vs. Hiromi Higuruma (1 and a quarter of an ep.)
• Megumi Fushiguro vs. Reggie Star's Group (half an ep probably sharing ep with Yuji's first fight. Might be in part 1)
• Megumi Fushiguro vs. Reggie Star (prob starting same ep as ending of Yuji vs Higuruma and continuing next ep)

  Gotta be at least 1 ep and half for this one because there's more than just fighting. 2 full eps makes more sense imo.

  This gotta last 3 episodes + the aftermath with Gojo coming back.

A lot of stuff can honestly last 8-12 minutes and go back and forth with other fights. The ones that will get more attention are Yuji vs Higuruma, Megumi vs Reggie (Fushiguro's last showcase), Hakari vs Kashimo (poor anime onlys lmao), Yuki vs Kenny and of course Sukuna taking over Megumi. The rest I can see a mix of rushing through interactions or straight up skipping some characters to make the fights shorter.

It seems they will make Naoya a "big" deal so we probably gonna have to deal with him as much as we had on the manga, which was a little too much for my liking considering his only purpose was to take Ls to Maki to make her look strong.

Most interesting fights lengths to me is Yuki vs Kenny and Hakari vs Kashimo. The latter could be straight up skipped but you kinda HAVE to animate it because if not, Hakari doesn't do a single cotdamn thing in the entire story it goes beyond being the best fight of the CG, as much of a useless character Kashimo is, this fight is mandatory if you wanna give Hakari any screen time worth a fukk

Yeah breh, you can literally remove Hakari and Kashimo from the whole adaption and nothing of real meaning would be lost, that shyt is crazy

Part 1 is gonna be all intro to the real CG and Part 2 is gonna be full on fights. Part 1 basically has the last real Ws the gang gets until the fukkery of the last arc (I don't count curse Naoya or Kashimo as meaningful Ws)

I'm going with the theory that Part 2 ends with Gojo getting unsealed and basically telling the viewer "we have a month to prepare and then I'm fighting Sukuna" so they can build hype for the final season (or movies).

But Part 2 could also end with Megumi getting Sukuna'd. I guess it will depend on how slow the pace for Part 2 is and how much new stuff they wanna add to it. I think the smarter move is getting Gojo back so anime onlys have hope before the last arc, that way they can build the hype for it regardless of JJK trolls ruining Gojo's death for some people. If you end with Sukuna/Megumi, you don't really have a hype point for the final season unless they wanna spoil Gojo coming back in the teasers which would defeat the purpose of not ending Part 2 with that.
