I mean, she's about to die (from her POV at least) due to her brain tumor so it makes sense she's taking the challenge.What kind of ability does Yuka have that makes her a reasonable replacement for an immortal nikka
Now, I don't even remember if Yuka has Rika or Tsurugi is the one that currently has her
if Yuka holds Rika it's a no brainer she's the chosen one 
If Yuji truly doesn't show up for this ....

how does that make sense? They wanted Yuji because he was the strongest and immortal.How does she end up ranking 2nd on the list of people to represent earth? Having a tumor makes 0 sense for playing a factor, they need someone close to Sukuna level to fight Dabura, the goal is to win not sacrifice someone
Rika is with the ring that her brother has, so we haven't been shown anything that would put her remotely close to being Yuji's backup.
She's gotta have the 10 shadows technique or something for this to make sense.

This Maruo/Tsurugi faceoff seems rushed as hell too, this whole Kalyak/cursed spirit connection just aint hitting at all. There's no sympathy to feel for these alien nikkas, they been draggin they nuts all over japan since they got there

this bytch ass nikka brought the story back only to completely hide from lore he established as vital

It's been established these sorcerers are wack + you have the self imposed deadline of this story lasting 3 volumes so there's no fight that's gonna last very long (5 chapters at most for the most important one). Hell, in theory there's only like 15-16 chapters leftImma be disappointed if we just get a regular head up fight between these sorcerers and aliens

nobody even asked for this shyt, could've done this whole alien plotline outside of the Jjk universe if he was so intimidated of his own shyt.Maybe GRRM with the meerenese knot is close
i cannot understand how these authors start publishing stories with 0 idea of where they wanna go and howActually nevermind Patrick Rothfuss is the absolute worst
