Alot of these white liberals are no different than their white conservative counterparts.

When it comes down to it they'd vote for Trump before they vote for reparations to help black people.:francis:

That gonna be there problem.

Ados cant afford to wait.

Thosrle liberal whites will come around trust

Yup. No one on here talking about Castro’s caretaker status of HUD instead of cleaning up the mistakes of his predecessor who was terrible.

1. I'm not a Tariq Nasheed follower. I think he's a scam artist and have said this for years when he started his pro Black agenda.

2. Don't call me out of my name because you're on an Internet forum. If we were on the street and face to face, you'd be more careful with your phrasing.

Free college doesn't help everyone. As it stands today, the overall value of a degree has decreased because colleges have become for profit institutions while operating under a 501c3. Talk about bringing back trades in high schools among others and then maybe I'd buy into his socialist dream. M4A is a fukking farce and will balloon into something unsustainable if this country doesn't get immigration in check. As it stands we are a welfare state where anyone from anywhere can receive treatment at someone else's expense. You cannot be a welfare state with weak immigration policy. It's the elephant in the room no one wants to talk about.

Medicare For All isn’t a farce. We spend double per capita on healthcare than any other developed nation for worse outcomes.

Medicare for All according to Mercatus is $3.2 trillion per year and in a decade is where you get $32 trillion. We save $2 trillion+ over a decade over our current system. Our current system is wasteful and inefficient. Without controls, we will be spending closer to 25% of GDP on healthcare in a decade which is insane.

Right now we pay $2 trillion for public healthcare (Medicare, Medicaid, VA, Children Insurance, ACA subsidies) and $1.5 trillion in private which is ever increasing due to insurance companies raising rates and killing businessses. Public sector spending is going up because of the boomers.

We are already spending the money. But we have 30M uninsured, more underinsured, and life expectancy dropping. Add in drug, insurance and hospital monopolies + price gouging, the question will be how can we afford not to go single payer? Expanding coverage is one thing but controlling costs will have to be done by the federal government just like every developed nation in the world does.

NO IT'S NOT.

I fukking DESPISE this argument that Tariq Nasheed has made and impressionable idiots continue to spread.

Trickle Down Economics in the Reagan era was specifically about giving the rich tax cuts and lying by saying that the benefits of doing so would trickle down to all Americans.

Bernie's policies are specifically giving things to ALL PEOPLE that are financed by taxing the rich. These things ARE NOT THE SAME AT ALL IN ANYWAY.

Quit fukking calling these policies trickle down economics. nikkas have co-opted a term to identify shytty republican economics and applied it to things that are actually good and would actually help black people significantly and disproportionately compared to others.

The median white household has TEN TIMES the wealth of Black and Hispanic households. I've soured on Bernie. He exposed himself and where his true priorities lie. His platform is to appeal to loser ass white people who are upset that they are not benefiting from white privilege in the manner in which they thought they would. Loser white males who thought they'd have high paying jobs, a house in the suburbs far away from nikkas and a nice looking wife (hint: the same people voting for Bernie are also behind The Red Pill/MGTOW/Men's Right movement). His policies are just going to help those whites become successful and widen the racial wealth gap further.

Bernie's plan to fund healthcare and college for all is a good gesture but, it doesn't address the centuries of inequality and systemic racism blacks underwent. And most importantly, IT WILL NOT CHANGE systemic racism going forward. Blacks will still get denied mortgage and business loans, still have higher difficulty finding jobs, will still get paid less compared to whites, will still get unfairly profiled and arrested, will still live in fukked up neighborhoods with poor schooling systems compared to white students making it difficult for most black students to get to a worthy enough college in the first place. There's just too much to write. Unless he's talking about how to combat these issues then, yes, his policies as is, are TRICKLE DOWN ECONOMICS. I'mma help the crackers that I want to help and hopefully yall nikkas can pick up some of those crumbs.

If he was really about helping the poor and the impoverished, he would be pushing free college and free healthcare to help everyone but, he would also not be so visibly bothered by having programs that are targeted specifically towards Blacks and Latinos :picard: since they're obviously lagging behind the majority group. Your black ass can get that free degree but, you gonna still graduate and be black in the workforce, black when applying for a house, black when applying for a business loan and black in front of the police and the judge. Getting a free degree, if you can get through college, is not going to change any of that.

Yeah, we don't need a commission. Also, he should be mentioning the H.R. 40 -- I wonder if he knows about it.

Sheila Jackson Lee has taken the mantle to introducing it in this Congress. John Conyers had introduced it in every Congress the last couple decades. His successor Rashida Tlaib has cosponsored.

Bernie Sanders hasn’t come out for reparations but he is focused on structural changes to make black lives better. That should be welcomed.

Bro none of what you posted has shyt to do with good policies like Medicare for All.

M4A won't address the racial wealth gap. DUH. No one is saying that. But it is still a good policy.

News flash, REPARATIONS WON'T AFFECT THE RACIAL WEALTH GAP OR RACISM EITHER.

Could you really rectify centuries of racial injustice this easily?
Sadly, no. Even if the racial gap in median wealth were eliminated, it would still be the case that there's a substantial racial gap in median income. Lurking behind that gap is a gap in educational attainment. Unless those were rectified, the racial wealth gap would reemerge over time.

Beyond that, equalizing financial wealth would hardly level the overall playing field. Formally discriminatory public policies are a thing of the past, and public discourse is increasingly intolerant of blatant displays of racism but many studies show African-Americans are disadvantaged by widespread (and often unconscious) biases in a range of contexts.

Monetary reparations are generally viewed as an extreme idea, but the reality is that financial leveling is one of the aspects of racial inequality that it would easiest to fix if the country wanted to.

Source: Slavery reparations are workable and affordable

The racial wealth gap has more to do with the inherited bias against black people by people who are in control of hiring and deciding salaries more than anything. There's not much you can do to legislate that away in a capitalistic society. One of the few things that would actually erase the wealth gap is getting rid of capitalism altogether in favor of socialism.

Trying to make arguments against free education, medicare 4 all, universal child care, etc. by saying they won't help blacks is just completely idiotic.

If blacks were a big enough demographic and had more power, all these politicians would be knee deep in demanding reparations. They're only tiptoeing around it because blacks do not have a big enough vote to make up for the many non-blacks who oppose reparations. It's that simple.
This is false. Democrats can’t win without the ADOS vote. There are hardly any Asians in America, so what other non black minority can they depend upon? Black immigrants? Latinos? Republicans are making sure both of their numbers dwindle. Democrats will be unable to win any general election without ADOS.
