As a Titans fan I can absolutely say it was QB dependent :pachaha:

Mariota was god awful breh

First 6 games of 2019 (Mariota starting) Henry had 416 yards and averaged 3.68 ypc

Last 10 of 2019 Henry had 1124 and averaged 5.91 YPC.

That large of a difference didn’t happen in a vacuum because the OL and Henry just naturally got better all of a sudden.

The only difference was Tannehill.

Imma die on this hill only because I’ve seen every single game. We only know how great Derrick Henry is, because of Ryan Tannehill. That doesn’t mean Derrick Henry didn’t also uplevel Tannehill, but that change doesn’t happen with a QB who can’t throw like Mariota
No Mariota slander breh

As a Jaguars fan I'll say this, Tannehill is no slouch. I think brehs forget that Tannehill time in Miami he was just converting from WR to QB.

Don't know what it is, but he's been lights out for the Titans, and without dominant wrs. He has AJ now but before that his main targets were TEs.

Henry is a beast, but he's not a "impose his will" on a defense type back. Big as he is, and awesome as his stiff arm is, he's really a speed, get to the outside back. He'll be held in check for 4 quarters with like 20 carries for 57 yards and then he breaks outside for an 80 yard run. Then he comes back with another 40 yard run giving him a huge day.

He's not a beast mode or your regular big back type runner where they consistently nickel and dime you the whole game. Early in games he takes losses and the defense stops him from getting a running start. By the 4th qtr the defense is tired from a long drive with shirt passing, and that's when he beats your LB to the corner, and your CB gets tossed aside and he breaks out for 80 yards.

I say his day is coming because he's tall and runs high. One these young, cocky LBs gonna get nothing but midsection, or legs, and he's going become an average back.

Jones did not play at all towards the end of the game, from about the third quarter on, and the Titans declined to say he was hurt. After the game, coach Mike Vrabel noted that he was "trying to manage where he's at," and vaguely alluded to blocking being the reason Jones wasn't on the field. On the surface, an A.J. Brown injury sounds pretty tasty for Jones owners, but the Vrabel-Jones relationship has been difficult. Jones will probably remain near the WR2/WR3 for Week 4's date against the Jets depending on how the story of what happened here evolves over the week ahead.

Trade for arguably the best WR in the last 10 years of football and bench him because of blocking brehs :heh:

Sound like him and Vrabel don’t like each other…Vrabel has called him out publicly now he’s benching him. It’s a weird relationship…Julio was treated like gold here

I was worried about your offense with Julio/Pitts/Ridley this season. I was surprised he wanted out.

Looks like AJ Brown is injured, so it'll be interesting to see if they continue using Julio the way they are. Makes no sense why they even traded for him.

I'm talking about hall of fame level players going to these teams thinking they are going to get treated any different than anybody else.

I would never go to a Belichick team or anybody from his coaching tree.

What I'm saying is they think that works. He's about to have his 2nd losing season without Brady. That shyt don't work.
