It's funny because this is something that Hakeem would have done.

I have a theory that Jussie did all this to prove to the writers that this could work as an Empire episode. The people he hired, the story he created....this was his weird way of making an outline for the episode. If it could happen in real life, it could happen on the show.

The only problem is, he forgot to work out a happy ending for the episode and now he'll be in jail before the writers make their final decision.
