Just, like Dr Dre, is in position to never have to release music ever again. But just like there are gym rats, these guys like being in the lab working on their craft/hobby. And buying/testing gadgets.

I used to say that Dre would sign acts just to keep up with his hobby of producing beats.

If they never made it in hip-hop, they'd be working day jobs and in their basements making beats for fun on the weekends.

Just had a remarkable run with the Roc, got placement on high selling albums & fair credit/compensation for his work, made wise business decisions and is just living life.
