No thanks. I live in the area and could've bought a house here a long time ago. The property taxes are extremely high. You can buy a home for $1 but then have $13,000 in property taxes attached to it. Even if I could get past the crime, which I can't, that's not good business. Same reason I wont buy in Cleveland.
There are deals to be found in surrounding areas with less crime (much less than ideal but less crime than the area we're talking about) and with a fraction of the property taxes. Plus, the homes are in better shape and not picked clean.
