You could make money off them but it wouldn't be any time soon. As pointed out the problem is no one wants to buy in Detroit....at least right now. You'd be waiting for the turn around. Those homes are all complete teardowns but they are worth buying for just the lots and then doing a complete rebuild on the sites.
Now here's a thinking man. You'd buy this shyt for the lot and hold it long term.

property tax, paying someone to get new pipes, fixtures, exterminators and a whole bunch of other shyt and plus the area the homes are in u will be in the negative.

But i wish u the best if u can make a profit off of it.
Nah, nobody is thinking about renovation immediately, we are talking about sitting on the property until the economy turns around and either somebody offers to buy the property from you at a marked up price or you can renovate and rent/sell once there is interest in Detroit again.

The fixtures will get robbed with the quickness by :wtf: type dudes. Better get you a rock solid Deebo type property manager who rides with the shotty and don't mind puttin' in work, otherwise even the f*ckin' wood for the stairs is gonna get jacked :heh:

Zillow predicts Detroit Metro home values will rise 4.3% next year.

@A Real Negga you're gonna make 4.3 cents next year when you sell :takedat:

I've been buying dilapidated properties in Philly and Baltimore. The most important thing isnt the price, its the location. Specifically, you have to know in what direction the area is turning. Is every other house boarded up? Are there bus routes nearby? Is it on a well known drug strip? If you dont know the area I wouldnt even recommend a free house, because you are still stuck with property taxes. Not to mention, the city may fine you for owning a rundown house and force you to fix it.
