That nikka went to QB summer program a few times. He didn't start hanging out there until he was in high school. He says it himself in his book.

His mom worked for housing authority. He said she would drag him to whatever projects she was working for at the time. I think he lived in Lefrak for a minute too. Not saying he was a super-thug, but P was no stranger to wild street shyt like people try to act.

Y'all nikkas stupid as fukk if y'all think P wasn't built like that or wasn't deep in the life :snoop:

Suburban dude? Hempstead is not your typical suburb, Hempstead is dangerous and was dangerous. P was out in Queensbridge since he was 8, he was cool with a lot of the dudes in QB (Hav, Littles, Lakey, Killa Black). He did have trouble fitting in and always had the reputation as an out of towner but at the end of the day P was always out in QB and knows mad nikkas from QB.
:pachaha:I guess that nikka never been to terrace.

:camby:

P did all types of wild shyt on the street, despite being a little nikka with sickle cell anemia he was still rolling with killas, robbing nikkas and doing and dealing all types of drugs. Sickle cell made P angry at the world and it gave him a careless attitude. Despite being a little nikka P never backed down from nobody, he was out in Cali performing LA, LA when mad nikkas was scared to even perform out there. While other nikkas did autograph signings in huge malls away from the hood, P was signing nikkas shyt in record stores smack dab in the middle of the hood in Baltimore and shyt.

Because P got set up and robbed for his chain and because he got sneak attacked by Keith Murray he's not a gangster he's just a soft nikka playing a part? :camby:

Yeah, that's the impression I got from reading the book. Then again I just saw a Ty Nitty interview saying P was hiding under some trucks when Nore's peoples shot Nitty. Some maybe he made a few fibs here and there.

lotta prodigy hate in here...he must be doin somethin right

Yeah, I see a lot of hate here too.

Yeah, I read that part too. That he lived out in LeFrak for a while. He said he was surprised not to know Nore when he found out where he was from. Also it turns out P and Nore were never really friends. I didn't know that. They did a couple of tracks together so I thought they were close.

P: And believe me, I know very well I can get shot, stabbed, or fukked up too, whatever. I aint super-nikka I'm a lil skinny mothafukker. It's all about who gets who first though, knowaimsayin? :salute:

They were cool. They fell out because Havoc was beefing with Tragedy. Their song on HNIC was a reunion of sorts.

Yeah cause when I was reading the book he mentioned the H.N.I.C track with Nore saying that even though they did the track together, they weren't exactly close at the time.

That's actually one of the best songs on H.N.I.C IMO.

Is the audio book better than the book? I'm guessing its narrated by Prodigy. Sounds interesting.

Yeah, I don't even read much and once I got into it I had to keep going. A real page turner. You don't even have to be a Mobb Deep fan(but it helps). A hip hop head in general would enjoy it.

I haven't read the book, but I'd imagine it is, as it's HILARIOUS lol. And it's shyt you can't get from the book lmao. He's doing impressions, there's sound effects and you hear his vocal tones lmao. It's really hilarious, also interesting and insightful. Was exceptional, really enjoyed it, shyt is like 16 hours long or something lol. Yeah it's narrating by P, it's dope man.

I'ma have to cop that. That's one of those cases where the audio book really is better than the original book. A good thing in the book was a lot of pictures in the middle of it. A whole bunch of pics of P as a kid and Mobb Deep and all their friends and all that.

Prodigys imagination and lying is what made him such a great lyricist tho ha. His book is just like one of his songs, plus like someone said earlier he always had a chip on his shoulder. He was never from queens and half his family were scholars and rich and his moms hooked up with his dad in typical rich girl likes bad boy move. Mix that with his napoleon complex there you go. Rappers in general are mostly similar types of people: fakes, frauds, good story tellers, people with ego complexes, soft/sensative etc. Some of these dudes no different than a hollywood diva I am not joking.

who is his dad and mom?

For real, that sounds dope, I think vice versa, I'll cop the book too just to have it. It's really a good enough project to cop both really. I rate it highly, am glad P sorted the shyt out with Nas too. He sounds like he has a good heart deep down, and has a sense of loyalty to his friends, can just say dumb shyt sometimes.
