I emptied some trash out on long side of the main road where I live..a center with stores by a green dumpster. I couldn't find my wallet anywhere. Thought I left it at the doctor's office. That was like 5pm....at 11pm, I went back to that dumpster and there it was my wallet with my money, cards, DL all intact. Amazing. All the potential for people walking by and I was still the only person who found it.

I think i dropped mine on the bus or at the stop. Too many bums around them spots so i knew it was a wrap

Best thing to do is look them up on Facebook, send them a message. Otherwise take it back to the gas station. They may remember it as the last place they saw it.

I found someone’s iPhone 13 Pro on the train last month and held onto it. Was going to take it to the police station after work. But the person contacted me on the screen in lost mode and I met them at the train station in the evening to give it back to them.

They were genuinely touched, that someone hadn’t just taken it. But I know how I would feel if I lost something as expensive as that.
So I always try to do what’s right.

I once lost my wallet years ago when my kids were babies/toddlers and the person who found it drove to our house and was waiting in the driveway for me when we got home. Needless to say my husband almost shot him.
