It may vary by state because that's what my father told me :manny: This was in late 2013 btw.
I guess

But you can't even purchase a vehicle without a license, so what happens if you decided to get a car? You can't even get insurance without a license if I'm not mistaken.

Idk, I'm just wondering btw. Trying to understand the logic behind it but it's not that serious. You still got to pay for a new one and I think if it expires you will have to retake the test instead of just renewing it online

Alright, thanks for telling me that. I do plan to get a car once I have money coming in when I get this next job. Trying to take it step by step.

He probably finished the study coursework for a cert but just didn't go take the actual the cert

I've done it a couple times but it was more of a tradeschool/military thing. Not for college but they do have schools where getting the cert is like your final exam or some shyt

You are correct and I'm glad they had me when they got older. Because from stories that they and other fam told me they were wild as hell when they were young.

Nah..I'm not talking about certs
An IT degree and certs are two different things

Son claims he went to college for IT and graduated

That should be enough to get a job

No, I never got my degree. The program was a cert program. I finished the course and passed it, but I never took the A+ because I already landed a small job (unrelated to the IT field). However, I said that I'm going back to school to get a degree in Human Services. Because I want to help and be a leader in my community. Plus, branch out into politics in the future and run for a state office spot.

You can go to college for both actually. Some programs get you a degree, some get you certs (which can actually go towards elective credits and replace certain classes) and some can get you both or none at all.

He sounds like he went to either a trade school or a community college program where you can complete the class and get a certificate for completion but not necessarily get the cert.

It's usually for entry level certs like A+, N+, or something equivalent. But there are programs for advanced certs as well but usually people actually take the exam. For A+ a lot of them don't. Had a few friends that did a similar program in Miami Dade and didn't take the test. Some are in IT still and some just got other jobs instead... I'm actually debating on going to a school where you aquire both

Idk son sound like bullshyt. I kept my license even when I didn't have a car because here in Louisiana anyway your licence can be used as proof of ID to buy alcohol, tabacco, get in clubs, for paper work etc
