I have personally witnessed this several times. You are guaranteed the job as long as you pass your NCLeX by a certain date.

I know this is a male dominated forum, but male nurses be EATING
I work in HR at a mid size hospital and I can confirm. Nurse Recruitment has a spreadsheet of all the internal student nurses with their expected graduation date, the date they will be hired as a RN after they pass the exam and what department they are likely to be in. There's also a column to fill in their RN license once they pass the exam.

Externally it's easy to get a RN position because they are desperate for people.

Male nurses definitely eat. And as far as you, Nurse Practitioners are 6 figure careers. Good luck.

Almost done brehs :takedat:

Just have one more final and I've already been hired as a pediatric ICU nurse at my hospital :gladbron:

The anxiety studying for this final is kicking my ass but I'ma make the Coli proud :obama:

Oh! And try and find the Mark Klimeck (sp?) lectures. They were extremely helpful, wish I had them during school. They were great for studying for the NCLEX and really simplified everything. I would also suggest Uworld. It's a bit expensive, but worth it. I made sure I went through all the questions and was scoring at least 85% consistently. Good luck!

:salute:

Congrats on the gig breh. Life changing career choice. And you can eat pretty much anywhere in PA or Jersey if you get dual licensed. I still keep an active PA license. You can easily make some ridiculous bank once you get your feet settled and pick up some agency gigs here and there.

Proud of you breh. Had a vision, created a plan, saw it through and made it happen.

And if you ain't know already, 85% of the shyt on thr NCLEX you're not even gonna encounter once you get on the floor. Shyt is like algebra in HS.
