Just got child support taken out my check

he already said he doesn't .. that's why its an issue 487 every 2 weeks is almost 1000/month when he said he would give 400/month on his own.. that's a 600/month expense increase that he didn't account for. and it happened unexpectedly.. sure in a few weeks after 3-5 paychecks he'll learn how to rebudget but the initial shock is what's killing him

My monthly expenses are like $500 more than what I make
That's with giving her 400
And the more I work the more I get taxed and the more she gets
It makes no sense

I don't make that much
After taxes
And health insurance
And 401k (which is only $50 every 2 weeks and I'm gonna have to put an end to it)
And union dues
And every other bullshyt fee or tax that comes out of my check
I see about 1200 every 2 weeks
And that's if I don't miss a day
I miss a day about once every 2 weeks for doctor visits
I have a couple of medical issues
It costs about $200 a missed day between the lost of wage and copays

for you medical stuff I hope you did FLMA.. a day every 2 weeks means you need JOB protection ..you dont have paid sick days? put those forms in.. sounds like you might have a city job (edit no city job you said you got 401k).. then def fill out those forms in.

do you do single health insurance or family plan.. if she has Medicaid you can drop down to the single (only in November though)

150$ water bill
150$ electricity
150$ (gas and that depend on winter) if pays own heat 1000
400
$ a month on groceries
that's not including cable/cell/car note/car insurance/gasoline

then u spend maybe 6000 for the year on clothes.

OP did u bad mouth the judge? i know dudes making 80k and only play like 600 a month

I get 6 sick days a year
I use more than that

And I used 1 sick day last week because when I went to return the kids she wasn't there so I had to take them back home and return them the next day

The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) provides certain employees with up to 12 weeks of unpaid, job-protected leave per year. It also requires that their group health benefits be maintained during the leave.

FMLA is designed to help employees balance their work and family responsibilities by allowing them to take reasonable unpaid leave for certain family and medical reasons. It also seeks to accommodate the legitimate interests of employers and promote equal employment opportunity for men and women.

... it protects your job because of excess absences due to medical issues for you or fam.. as lomg as you work FT been at place for a year you qualify.

you get 12 weeks off a year (you can take in 1 shot or periodical ,, ex. 3 hours every 2 weeks for DR visits.. you still use your sick days or its un paid ... but you cant get fired for excessive absence

And the shyt that really hurts is that it effects my relationship with my new girl
I can't really take her out
Or do nice things for her
She's good with going to the park and shyt like that but she deserves so much more
She been holding me down throughout all of this

Another thing that hurts is I can't really take the kids out either
I can't buy them their favorite cereal for when they come over
I can't take them for ice cream or pizza
