:snoop:

They gave me a lot of chances over the past two years (late or called out sick) but I guess this was the final straw. I knew that I was already on a thin leash and have did everything to not fuk up especially working from home, but a communication issue finally did me in. This is the WORST time for this shyt to happen! I was making decent money too.

Can't blame anyone but myself although a little more reciprocation would have been great on their part.

I don't know what to do:snoop:

Sorry breh...but you yourself admitted you were on the hot seat. What was the cause of dismissal?

Have a drink(s) tonight and job search in the morning.

Basically my manager emailed me about work and I didnt respond. I had a good reason for not responding; let's just say that I had a power issue. I don't want to get into specifics in case my consulting firm is watching.

That's a shame. No email on phone?

Seems like a minor infraction but obviously your previous actions have set a precedent and behaviour pattern in their eyes.

Good luck breh

Believe it or not this could be perfect timing since with the current situation no company is gonna question why you aren't employed when you get hired because of the pandemic. Also you might qualify for some of that stimulus money and unemployment.

They're having VPN problems on mobile so I didn't have my email synced.

Yup. I'll make it a priority next time to not have prior actions hung over my head.

Thank you.

Hold your head. At least you are willing to take accountability and responsibility for what you have done that got you to this point.

I understand you are on thin ice but everyone will have some VPN issues I've had some nothing major though.

Hate to say it, but you should've been looking for a new job after the first writeup
That first writeup was a over year ago. They threatened me and I tightened up. I got too comfortable though as Im the only one who knows how to do that specific job. I should've seen this coming; they were letting good-working folks go that they had just made full-time before the virus hit.

Lots of people will be in the same place your are in a few months. Hope you have an emergency account.

At least you could blame losing the job on the Corona virus and whoever interviews you for the next job can't question it.

What kind of work did you do?
