I worked in IT.Lots of people will be in the same place your are in a few months. Hope you have an emergency account.
At least you could blame losing the job on the Corona virus and whoever interviews you for the next job can't question it.
What kind of work did you do?
I can tell, considering the chances they gave you.I worked in IT.
I'm mid 20s. What I've learned and will apply to the next opportunity is to over-comunnicate.Yeah, I hope OP is young and learned from this.
That first writeup was a over year ago. They threatened me and I tightened up. I got too comfortable though as Im the only one who knows how to do that specific job. I should've seen this coming; they were letting good-working folks go that they had just made full-time before the virus hit.
A lot of young brothers and sisters have a lot of trouble adjusting into the corp workplace. It seems like your issues is bigger than communication. It's understanding your role, your value, how to improve your position, and what needs to be done to put yourself in a place where this doesn't happen again. Over communicating isn't much better honestly. You just need to learn how to communicate.I'm mid 20s. What I've learned and will apply to the next opportunity is to over-comunnicate.
Basically my manager emailed me about work and I didnt respond. I had a good reason for not responding; let's just say that I had a power issue. I don't want to get into specifics in case my consulting firm is watching.

You're right.Know this: you did not get written up for messing up on the job. You got reprimanded because no one higher up was defending you. I guarantee you someone else got away with the same thing you did without issue.
If you have no one in your corner, then any excuse or bullshyt they come up with to get rid of you will fly by undeterred. Unless you see opportunities to get people in your corner at your job, then it was time to start doing interviews.
I hope I'm not coming off patronizing but it's facts

As a nikka that's been fired about six times, yep!Damn. Am I that easy to read?
I'm definitely going to work on these. I really appreciate your insight.
You are probably in a better position to land something in the future. This might be a blessing, and you could end up in a place that you may like working at. Update your resume and start posting as soon as you can. Look for a job like it is your job (get up early like you going to work and start searching to get an idea of what you want to do next). You may not find something right away (some jobs I applied to call me back months, and even in some cases a year later). Look for places where they need people. Try healthcare, Amazon, etc you places that are still doing business while all this crazy shyt is happening. Good luck fam. Don't settle and know that you are not the only one going through it.I worked in IT.
