That's why i been trying to tell you all to stop clumping the usage of nigg-a and Nigg-er together, and learn what context means...

Clearly what hogan said, and what Vince Mcmahon said are completely different..Only illiterate folk are hollering " But he sed da N-word doe and he should be fired."

There is a big difference here that needs to be distinguished

I'm glad to see this Howard Stern-Don Imus-Bobby Slayton-Sondra Bernhard era of acceptable racism starting to end. This shyt has been happening A LOT and people give these guys a pass.

Vince McMahon once had the craziest idea for Christian

Right before I started, there was a big show, I think it might have been in Toronto. Christian was just so completely over, and everybody thought he was going to get a push at, I think it was the World Heavyweight Championship at that point. We were on the plane one time shortly after I started, and Vince was just like 'God damn, I just don't like his face. His face really bothers me.' I was like, 'He's ugly, Vince?' 'No, it's not that he's ugly, it's just, I don't know, it's ratty! You know what we should do? That Kennedy gimmick.' And we're all like, 'What?' Some see-on of the Kennedy fortune I guess got arrested for rape in the 1990s at some point. When the woman who was accusing him was on the stand, all of the networks put a blue dot over her face. Vince was like, 'God damn, you know what we should do? We should put a blue dot over his face whenever he comes out.' It was the flight to Sheffield, England, also the flight where the Spirit Squad idea was invented. This was a whole flight of bad ideas."

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, McMahon wanted Christian to appear on television with a blue dot over his face at all times just because it bothers him. That's the leader of WWE. That's the man who has final say in everything you see on your TV screen during Monday Night Raw, Main Event, and Friday Night SmackDown.

this whole thing should wake black people up to the importance of OWNERSHIP, but I see people still begging for a seat at massas table. :smh:

And the disrespect of McMahon saying that shyt on national TV in the first place.

no,...
no, gawd, no moose.
I could deal with Cedric Alexander before moose.
especially, since his heel turn has shown great promise.

what's funny is,

Vince never made the right decision about Christian and edge as early as both being debut guys.
Christian was always better than edge from jump.
Plus, WWE told Christian to cut his hair because it was to reminiscent of his son in law.
When, Christian was even better than hhh.
Especially, if we judge their careers by timeline and workrate.

Kevin Steen Comments On The "N-Word" - SoCal UNCENSORED Forums

Commentary # 10 - Clarifications
posted by steen on 22 Jun 2005
It's been a while since I wrote commentary. I blame it on my lack of inspiration.
But now I have a couple of things I'd like to clarify. So here we go...

First off, those of you that follow the SoCal scene already know I was involved in a pretty controversial angle last week-end, where I ended up using the n-word.

Right off the bat, let me say this. What I said has nothing to do with racism, because, well... I'm not racist.

I probably shouldn't have said it but I did, and I can't take it back. I was looking for something strong that would solidify my heel character and I said it. It probably wasn't the best thing, and I'm sure I could have found a better way to accomplish that but on the spot, I just did what came to me.

Now, I'll take my share of the blame. However, I will say this. I think some people are making this into a much bigger deal than it is. Why? Simple. Because according to what I read on various message boards, people don't even remember the situation. They remember the word. That's all.

Some people think I also called Generico a beaner. Others think it was Disco. My point is nobody remembers what exactly happened, they just remember the n-word. To me, that says a lot. By the way...I never called Generico a beaner. And as far as the n-word is concerned, well all I did was repeat a line used by Steve Austin in the Longest Yard.

I remember watching the movie and thinking, when Austin, who played an abusive prison guard, said that line: "What a f*cking a$$hole!" And then I figured if it worked for him, then it could work for me. It just came back to me when I took the microphone at the end of the show and at the time, with the adrenaline flowing and the intensity level as high as it gets, it just came out.

Seeing as how I was having a hard time getting heel heat, I went ahead and did it, hoping it would get me the heat I was looking for. Well, I got the heat all right but I took it too far. Next time I will think more before I talk. If I offended any black people in the audience that night, I am sorry. If I offended anyone else, well then that's just too bad, because besides black people, I don't see who should be offended by it.

All right, hopefully this settles this issue.

Honestly, it won't get ugly and will probably be forgotten about in a few weeks.

Hogan will be painted as an old relic from the past who doesn't fit with their modern views. If it was one of their current stars, it'd be a different story. Maybe.

Even tho it's rampant in the WWE, no one will come forward and say much because of their job security. If a bunch of active people came forward, THAT might stir up a media storm. But it won't happen.

Any old wrestlers that chime in will be painted as bitter, axe to grind, he said-she said etc...

With the benoit situation, there was a body count that they couldn't hide. With this, they can. Same with the sexual abuse stuff in the early 90s. And how long it took Bill Demot to get canned.
