I agree....but my thing is, I've heard ppl use racism against wwe for having Godfather (a black guy) as a pimp.

I mean I get the argument, but would a white character really have succeeded/fit in that role?

Some ppl got mad at John Cena being a rapper and dressing the way he did back. But if John Cena was black they'd get accused of pushing stereotypes.

I just think it's a fine line.

Edit: can't believe I wrote hulk Hogan a letter after Earthquake crushed him. :mjcry:
nikkas prolly threw it away....or burned it :mjpls:
Unless your name was ethnic u are safe
Dequan and Maquez doe :wow:

It's from 10 years ago and Hogan isn't an active wrestler like say John Cena or Randy Orton, it won't really change anything. I'm sure more damming stuff will come out however Hogan is no longer attached or affiliated with the company. They cut him fast because of that. Hogan is on his own now.

im prolly one of the most radical black dudes on this site, but its wrestling I can look at Cryme Tyme the same way I look at the Iron Shiek or Yokozuna, just characters based on stereotypes, I dont think Austin Offended Red Necks. I don't think the Nikita Kolloff offended Russians, or Rusev for that matter. It's just a character based off of the stereotypes of said race.

I Thought Kamala was racist bullshyt, I thought Virgil was racist bullshyt.

New Day is really not racist. Black Folks love church and shyt, it's just as racist as Tyler Perry. Is it corny, Yeah, Racist NAH... not quite.

Cryme Tyme was supposed to be two goon nikkas from Brooklyn, JTG went to John Dewey High School in Brooklyn, Im from Brooklyn, I know more nikkas who joke and act like Cryme Tyme than i do people who act like The Rock. Was it goofy, yeah, but I thought they shoulda won the tag titles and they were extremely entertaining.

I thought Cenas rap shyt was more racist, cuz he's really not that person. It felt like some ted danson shyt to me.

The E is about to push a black wrestler to the moon :salute:

They also want to push a character who's gay as well.....they're probably going to kill two birds with one stone and have Darren young be the man who takes the title from Rollins :scusthov:

no, no, no..this is like Vito Corleone being shot up at the super market. Social Media is a gonna have a FIELD DAY with the WWE with their decision making over ethnic groups and women too...they won't relent. I guarantee it.

and that goes for not only black wrestlers, but Hispanic, Asian and many white wrestlers too who had a certain look.

Are there any asian males in the WWE right now? The only asian guy I can think of is the guy with the stank breath finisher.

I am NOT a sex offender
It SHOULD get worse...but probably WON'T because these blogs and media outlets will make it about Hogan vs Gawker and freedom of speech and admonishing another white privliged celeb from the 80s [/b] (Even though as last week proved Gawker does have a history of its own problematic shyt)[/b]
I live under a rock inside a very large cave, what happened to Gawker last week?

They outed someone who works in their department or from some other media site as gay despite their request not to intrude on their private life.

And its brought up the general conversation that while Gawker and its network of sites have been really influential the past 10 years or so in writing stories that show and reveal problematic things and a lot of think pieces that inspired this generation of social media outrage to find things problematic, they do it in a way that's problematic themselves breaking privacy laws and stretching and reaching for things a little bit.

This was kinda why before the revelation this morning, many people were starting to get on Hogan's side about the lawsuit cause it was like "yeah why are they invading his privacy and showing a tape that he was unaware off?" but again this will be all be forgotten because of the comments Hogan has made on that tape.

Vince McMahon's "n" word moment is trending on Twitter as well as other questionable moments. People who know nothing about wrestling are now seeing it for the first time. And whether or not you thought it was "comedic" moment or not, the faux outrage will likely be overkill.

I mean on some level wrestling has always revolved around stereotypes, and that goes for not only black wrestlers, but Hispanic, Asian and many white wrestlers too who had a certain look.

This might be the end brehs.

Sh*t might go from tv-pg to Y7. :patrice:

Knowing Vince, dude gonna make the most out this situation. Could be the ULTIMATE face turn for WWE by removing Hogan's history. But as far as pure prowrestling history, I'm kind of torn. That's like pretending MJ never existed in the NBA.

I hope this is true. He needed to be publicly called out on that shyt when it happened. Can't believe he got away clean with it. It was an ego trip because who in the company is going to step to Vince and say "you can't say that".
