Reading through the thread it sounds like they have a weak case..and that’s if the homeless dude even shows up. Id still be shook though if I was in the situation because you know how the system works for us.

I went to court today. I was told to come back Thursday for jury selection. I got a call a couple hours later from my lawyer to ask if I'd accept misdemeanor reckless conduct, time served. Case closed.
I told her let me think about it and what's the odds for a complete dismissal. She said at this point they're not offering that, but if I still want to take the risk to let her know by Thursday.
I know it's a good "deal".
Advice?... I need the dismissal so I can get all the stories and mugshots removed from the internet

If it was me, I'm going down blasting. If I'm possibly going to jail, I'm going all out in court before you put me in that cell. I'd feel better knowing I did everything legally possible to avoid going inside, if that was the end result.
Your going to be going to jail regardless, why not fight it? "Oh you'll be in there longer". Who cares, you still went to jail. 1 year or 10 years, you're still an ex-convict.
Take it to trail and make them work lock you up if they want it so bad.

Sounds like a real weak case, I bet the homeless guy took off. If there offering you this there real desperate for any slight win.
They have a bullshyt case and are just trying to avoid the L ...... try and get it dismissed
However you wouldnt be the first innocent man to go to jail
Take the plea. Make sure your record can be expunged and not open to employers access. Also, make sure you not on the sex offenders list.
If they on some bullshyt and they don't hearby your rules. Take the shyt to trial

if you are confident the jury wont be flooded with cacs, dont take the deal. but it sounds like a weak case.
