A 22 year old had a bad showing in the Finals and you're gonna condemn him for it? You guys say this shyt like Cleveland should have given up on LeBron after 2007 or Miami should have after 2011. That's an incredibly obtuse line of thinking.
The Thunder haven't been back to the Finals since Harden left. You can blame injuries or whatever you want, but regardless, they haven't had the same success since that trade. So yeah, I think you can say he is the missing piece.
The offense flowed better with Harden too because he was a buffer between Westbrook and Durant. Their extreme iso-ball wasn't as prevalent.

when the media/inside the nba/ESPN predict okc to go to the finals....or win, because I know exactly what is going to happen. Great regular season and do nothing come playoff time. I've never had them coming out the west since they did that one time. shyt seemed so surreal now to think these nikkas actually made it out....it's like the more they matured the dumber they get as nba players.

Is it Draymond?
Is it being paired with Klay?
Is it the bench?
Is it Kerr?
Is it a combination of them all?
And to think these players were DEVELOPED... None of them were depicted to be this good.
Even Livingston came back from a devastating injury to play like he could be starting on any team not named GS...
It's a culture, collective unit playing unselfishly and they're best player can shoot from anywhere on the floor (with or WITHOUT help) or pass it to any teammate from position 2-4.5 (Bogut the only real offensive weakness and that's sparingly) and the can make a tough shot.. Regularly

I just don't understand why Donovan doesn't just play Payne and replace Waiters' minutes with Foye
Payne is a better 3 pointer shooter than Waiters and can hit the open man. He seemed to have developed some chemistry with the bench as well. Can't defend at all but OKC is a shytty defensive team so that's irrelevant
Foye doesn't positively change the dynamic of the bench, but he doesn't negatively effect them either. He appears to be a much smarter player than Dion anyways.
