Little girls scene?

I was sitting there joking with my girl and what not because the girls were idolizing hair. I'm like "the civil rights movement is going on and them young thots (that's how me and my lady joke :yeshrug:) worried about some hair" Than BOOM. My jaw dropped breh. Felt like a bytch too :russ: girl didn't even look at me, but I could see her trying to look out the corner of her eye :mjcry:

im rating it on a Birdman scale.

Also, I really didnt like how it ended. I know the story of Selma, but it felt like that march to Montgomery was rushed.

this is why it was so dope. It was honest.
was my only issue with it as well.

Still a powerful movie. those 1st 10-15 mins...:whew:

I've been wondering for a while if a tv series about the civil rights movement would make it on like HBO or Starz. Done similar to how Boardwalk Empire was. Gives them more time to talk about more people involved.

I loved the movie, only thing I wish they would've done was fleshed out the relationship between King and Malcolm X a little more. They went from Malcolm talking to Coretta, to MLK's anger at her talking to him, to King referencing his death. I felt they just kind of rushed over the fact that the two reconciled before Malcolm's death and there was a possibility that they could've joined forces (in SOME capacity)

I don't think that's the movie though. It's not really a king biopic as much as its a movie about Selma and Bloody Sunday so while it would've been cool to see that, that's a different movie. Everything that happens in that movie had to do with Selma and the methods taken to get legislation passed so Malcolm's importance was the one scene he did
