Movie is overrated....

1. The first half is boring and felt like it was going nowhere.

2. The teacher and the cop's complicated relationship seemed unnecessary for the plot of the movie.

3. The kid's parents going in to their "Resting" state and their jobs and friends not wondering where they are or what happened to them?

4. There's no way all those kids were running down the street and went into one house and nobody saw anything. None of the neighbor's door cams saw all those kids going to that one house.

5. And when the police did a search of the house, again, where kid all the kids go and hide, and then come back and not be seen by anybody?

6. Also, all those kids were missing for a while. Who was feeding them while they were missing? Who was buying all the food that would be needed to feed all those kids? Breakfast, lunch and dinner?

7. The cop getting stabbed with the junkie's needle for the second time, and this time in the face with multiple needles and the cop just asked him if he had any disease and then he just kept working and didn't go immediately to the hospital.

8. The kids chasing the aunt at the end wasn't even scary. It just looked like kids running. It got more intense as the chase went on but still not scary. Actually, it got a little to "campy" towards the end when the aunt was running through people houses.

I could list more things, but I'll stop there. Rating 6.5/10

It was an OK horror movie but not as good as yall dudes are making it out to be.
I agree with some of this, but numbers three (I think), six, and seven were explained.

3. I think the boy said his parents were sick.
6. The kid bought soup and fed them.
7. The cop had assaulted the junkie while he was handcuffed. He wanted to cover it up.[\Spoiler]

And yeah, OP is trippin.

Weapons started off interesting then turned fukking stupid on a dime.

By the end, the shyt was like a Tiny Toons Adventures episode

Thoroughly disappointed because the trailer and commercials had you thinking we got a 2025 Paranormal Activity—a must see experience.

That shyt was Reggie

OP obviously doesn’t get the message Sinners was trying to make when it comes to the Black community, so of course his lame ass would say a movie with the majority of a white cast is better.

There’s a whole reason why cacs got upset about how they were portrayed in that movie, but they not saying shyt about Weapons :scust:

both movies have a great first half. Sinners is good until the vampire fights and then it gets generic as hell but that I enjoyed the last shot with the sun rising and the post credit scene.

Weapons starts off good but then cools off when you find out the villian is just an evil witch. I was expecting something better than that. :yeshrug: Sinners > Weapons.

modern horror is just kinda trash all around. either its confabulated bullshyt with a ridiculous story, or its full throttle gore a la evil dead and terrifier

theres no fukking nuance anymore. if the movie focuses on the story, its usually hamfisted and forced

i enjoyed weapons but i am not gonna sit through shyt like that again

it reminded me of that smile movie from a couple years ago. i hate that style of horror

at least we as americans are over that whole J-horror era. 2000s had some shyt movies too thanks to The Rings influence

I don't want jokey horror or OD gore. Give me that gothic shyt. I want Evil Dead, The Shining, Begotten type shyt

I saw both movies. "Sinners" was a decent movie with elements of history, horror, and the interpersonal in it. "Weapons" came off as silly to me, because the adults in the movie had to be written as idiots to keep the plot going. A so-called horror movie that depends on the idiocy of the characters to be scary, is not scary or horrific to me. It just ends up being a movie that I leave feeling I wasted my money watching.
