The pay is the issue when you consider how Wentz has played. The same for Nelson- Carson has regressed some- I dont know if its him or Doug or a combo of both but 2019 Carson is not a special QB. I still think he has touch issues- his "pocket clock" isn't as fast as it should be which is also why he holds the ball too long. And sometime it seems like he only reads half the field when there are open guys he seems to never see.

It's impossible for me to evaluate Carson when opposing defenses don't respect the WRs within the offense at all. It's the same reason the Colts punked the Chiefs offense on SNF a few weeks back and held Mahomes to 10 points when Hill & Watkins were out. Single high man press across the board basically spitting in the face of their WRs.

Even in his would be MVP year Carson held onto the ball forever and missed routine throws, but he made up for it with chunk plays and being absolutely lethal up the seams on money downs. Impossible to do that under this current setup with guys off the street and career backups garnering no respect outwide.

Not ready to throw the towel in on Wentz just yet and I'm not making excuses......but any chance he was still feeling the effects of that hand injury at the end of the second half?

His receivers are beyond horrible but there were enough times where they had separation that solely blaming them for this loss ain't gonna fly.

He misses throws weekly. Holding the ball too long weekly. Take the 3-4 yards man. 3rd and 10 consistently setting yourself up for failure. I get the weapons aren’t that good but you can still make it easier by taking what the d gives you. Sanders was open that entire second to last drive. Play calling got stagnant as well. We had them nikkas on they heels early. Even splits of run pass on that 95 yard drive. Lol we gotta pick between getting shut out in one half or the other

there were many times he could have extended that drive. Agho dropped it but that would have been a hard catch for anybody, lets not kid ourselves

I say Wentz wasn't the guy and some of these nikkas went nuts. I've said and I'll say it again we traded potential for productivity when it came to Wentz vs foles. Sometimes a B+ QB is all you need and build around him ....it all could have been simple.

(i missed the vikings game so cant comment on that) id honestly give wentz a solid B/B- grade for the season. but dude has had accuracy issues, leaving throws on the field all season long. today was next level terrible though... when youre overthrowing open people left and right, you cant even blame it on "no desean or alshon", the loss is on him. 3 years in and he has yet to have a signature NFL win, that packers game wasnt it. i doubt BGN or philly media in general will excuse him this week

i guarantee you BGN will have an article with a twitter post with the WRs catches, yards and TDs in it to disparage them

What we can judge his decision making and missed throws...All QB miss throws but some of his misses are inexcusible for a 4th year player making the money he does.

I still have faith in Carson. If we can get healthy, I think we can go on a run and end up with 10 wins which may be enough to win the division if we beat Dallas and they drop a couple more.

I’m not optimistic but its definitely possible.
The story of our season is dropped passes and most of those can’t be blamed on Carson. We win against Detroit and Atlanta and no one is questioning if Carson is the guy.

that catch that Aggy dropped in the end zone was definitely a tough catch BUT given his history, he doesn’t get the benefit of the doubt. I mean he dropped a pass earlier in the drive.

lets keep it a buck for a sec, put these 6 QBs in the eagles offense with agholor/JJAW/hollins/matthews as their WR set. with Sanders/Scott as their main RBs getting zero yds. are they putting up the numbers that they're currently putting up? jimmys WRs arent the best but kyle shanahan > doug pederson. dudes are schemed open left and right in the 49ers offense.

this is arguably a WOAT wentz game even tho the stats might not show it and deserves to get shytted on by the philly media all week, but the QBs situations as bolded are not the same. we would be singing a different tune if we had diggs/thielen flying down the field left and right and cook running down the defense.

EDIT: also we would KILL for hollywood browns speed in this offense
