Thats the way I am .... when you start travelling , and i dont mean the tourist traps, you quickly realise that a lot of our preconceptions about people and places are based on utter bullshyt ...

Travelling also made me make some major decisions on how I wanted to live my life ....

What were some of the realizations you've made? What major decisions did you make about how you wanted to live your life? Elaborate breh

I went to Lebanon , Syria , by myself ....was nothing but love

first time I ever went to Paris I decided to go on a Friday, was on a flight saturday evening ....

The world is a big place , im off to China and Cuba in August and September ....

I want to do everything while i have the health, time and money to do it ....

I dont want to be stuck in one corner of the earth on a treadmill , one day just like another

ONE LIFE

Lebanon and Syria :ohhh:

How was your experience? How long did you stay? Lebanese outside of Lebanon are some of the scummiest people (I've lived around them in several countries), I'm guessing it's different in Lebanon?

Man I saw poor little kids like 3-4 begging it broke my heart

I gave them 2,000 naira and they ran with joy. Their mom waved and thanked me and on the way out a kid waved at me

One thing about traveling to Africa that gets me, begging children :mjcry:

You want to help them all, but you can't :mjcry:

I could honestly write a whole essay, but to be brief .....

when you think about the best moments of your life how many of them have to do with money ?? or work??? or all the stuff that we spend day in day out chasing

I was travelling and meeting a lot of people that werent doing as well as me, but were more content ...

People work to live not live to work

I decided to stop chasing every dollar ... and life is better for it

and even though i run my own business and its doing well I turn down a lot of opportunities .... I tell people all the time, I dont work that hard, and thats the honest truth... if my business were in trouble then I would grind 24/7 , but its not .... so I work in second gear .... if i dont feel like getting up and attending to work I dont....

I have some filthy rich friends that are putting in 18 hour days ..... what ever money they are making isnt worth it to me

life is wavy .... I mostly do what I want to do ..... life was good before, but its better now

Like a boss :wow:

Best thread I've read in a long time. Didn't know Lagos was so great.

The positive about being single you can just be transient

I have no girl to answer to, no kids. It's just me.

Not that there's anything wrong with relationships and kids just that I can get up and gob

funnily enough , I wasnt a fan of Lebanese people either having been around them as well, i went for business and to be honest people in general were really nice so I went to visit Syria after I met some Syrians over there at the spur of the moment (really stupid in hindsight)

Syria was really nice, the women were friendly and a lot of people I met were surprised that I was visiting as a tourist ....

Lebanon was very pretty but old Lebanon was bananas, you could see all yhe bombed out buildings and bullet holes everywhere form the civil war they had .... crazy

had to change my passport soon after tho

Yeah I've been thinking about this a lot lately. We tend to wish we were somewhere else in life instead of making the most out of where we are now. :mjcry:

When you finally settle down, have kids etc, you won't be as free so make the most of it now. :wow:

5 star thread.

This is the kinda realization most people make when it's too late :wow:

Most never find that balance.
