How is the language barrier? I know when I go to places like Mexico or the Caribbean they surprisingly speak a lot of fluent english.

Thats funny as a first gen american with two Nigerian parents , in Nigeria no one assumes im nigerian. My heritage is questioned probably due to my lighter skin and the fact that i cant speak yoruba

ive travelled asia solo, amsterdam and went back to the U.S solo
my fam are shook at me goin to a country like jamaica or nigeria solo.. but im not stupid and have travelled to worse places imo, 3rd world countries and been in some crazy situations (ones my fam will never hear lmao)

Probably not feasible, but i'd recommend flying to Togo for a day or two since you're in West Africa, take a to go bag, you're clearly built for the nomad life.
