don't think we even got a slight chance to land durant. don't see why dude would wanna come to the heat and have people say he's following in bron's footsteps. think he wants to create his own legacy. most likely he's staying in OKC.

I always said no chance at Durant. But I saw a tweet from a credible reporter a few weeks ago that said Miami would be on a short list of teams Durant would consider in free agency. Couple that with Wade coming out saying he wants a quick contract resolution this summer which would suggest a team-friendly deal. I'm not going to go as far as to saying its a legit possibility but all bets are off if you can get Riley and a Heat contingent in the room with him.

i can see why we would be on the his list. he knows what Riley can do when it comes to putting together a contender & championships.

This exactly what I'm thinking. He's already gotten compared to LeBron a lot, especially since they play the same position, but if he were to leave his small market team after failing to win a ring with them only to join the Heat so that he could go after one, the comparisons would go to another level. And I get the feeling he doesn't want that. It's probably more likely that he goes to Golden State than he comes here.
