I believe the offense will be fine. They barely played with each other last year they need to build chemistry. Anybody tripping on that already is crazy.

I don't ever see this team being great defensively though. No way will this team be top ten defensively. I can't see that at all.

Detroit You bytch Ass nikka
I think he still has good hops, had a putback dunk the other game. He's probably in the phase Vince talked about though, it's not the going up that's the problem, it's the landing
Maybe so. I just noticed that he rarely goes into defenders to finish at the basket like he used to. Wade was always more of a quick jumper than a high jumper, he had great hang time too. His floater is great, but sometimes I just be wanting to see that throwback body to body layup off the glass shyt.

Bench mob needs a nickname. Fire Squad?:jbhmm:

And the experience TJ got last year is invaluable. As a young player, getting minutes under your belt even when on a bad team helps you out big time.

Maintenance program for McRoberts, Stoudemire could mean missed games

The Heat holding Amar’e Stoudemire and Josh McRoberts out of preseason practices and games could be a sign of their plan for the regular season.

Miami coach Erik Spoelstra acknowledged there is a maintenance program for both players because of their knee issues — Stoudemire has had multiple knee surgeries over his 14-year career and McRoberts is coming back from a torn meniscus in his right knee — and it could mean holding them out of games in early-season back-to-back situations.

“We’ll see,” he said. “All of that with all of our players, we have to get there and gauge a lot of different things. It’s too early to say, but we’ve also proven as an organization that we’re open-minded to that.”

Neither player has publicly objected to that approach, which is similar to what the Heat did with Dwyane Wade in 2013-14, and Stoudemire said he was on a similar plan the past three seasons while playing a total of 153 games.

“It all depends on teams, minutes played the night before, how I feel — there are so many intangibles that go with that, so it’s hard to say yay or nay at this point,” he said.

And he is comfortable with that?

“It’s great,” he said. “You want guys healthy for that playoff push. That’s when we want guys at their best and as strong as possible.

“As long as it’s providing health, that’s the key at this point in a guy’s career. When you’re 30 and up, it’s all about maintaining health.”

Fortunately for the Heat, they have just one back-to-back before Christmas. The second week of the season, they play at Minnesota and Indiana on consecutive nights.

Green would add reliable wing shooting to the starting lineup
Yeah but benching Deng for Green would put you at a huge defensive disadvantage.

Remember:
  • Wade no longer plays defense.
  • Dragic never did and never will.
  • Bosh can only help but so much.
  • And Whiteside having to clean up too much after the wing players will get him in foul trouble within minutes and he'll end up on the bench while these closes in here cry about Spo.
So you need someone on the wing that can keep these premier wing players from getting into a rythm early before they straight up get hop and you cant stop them anymore.

Besides even if he improved his defense Green is too skinny to match up with most of the premiere SFs in the East (or the league, really). Undil Winslow develops his offensive game and bulks up enough to bang with SFs, Deng is your best option.

Dawg this like the 3rd time I've seen you suggest Winslow is physically too small. That is the one area of the game he is not going to have any problems with from game 1

Right now he' hasnt grrown into his body quite yet. He can bang with SGs in the league but not with most SFs worth their salt
