I didn't watch the game. :martin:

How the hell did Bosh and Wade combine for over 50 points and we still lost?

Avery Bradley shooting well, Evan Turner shooting, no one outside Bosh, Wade, and Dragic playing well, our lack of 3-point shooters showing its self, and a great defensive unit from Boston.

This is why I miss Deng. He's not as explosive as Green but I feel like he takes smarter threes.

Ugh. I'm surprised Whiteside couldn't get double digit rebounders but Boston has a lot of bigs with range.

Riley was dumb for not blowing it up. Instead he opted for the treadmill.

He never has true rebuilds, all of his team's were quick fixes. Trading all those picks have a great chance at backfiring, but this team as currently constructed is built for the offs not regular season.

No more Wade hero ball. Thats my man but there gotta be more ball movement and taking the smarter shot.even the bosh Iso's were looking flabby near the 4th. Put more faith in the young bulls and tell mcbob to just put up 6 shots i dont care if they miss

People don't understand this about Riley teams. We've won all of our titles off of quick fixes, instead of rebuilds. All we do is find the right young talent to play with the vets, and voila. We drafted Wade and Haslem, and put vets around them. We got LBJ and Bosh, and put vets around them. Now we have Justise, TJ, Whiteside, Richardson, with a bunch of vets around them. This "Riley should of blown the team up" talk is just reactionary. Outside of Golden State, all the other championship teams in the last 10yrs consisted of teams that had a perfect mix of aging vets and a youth. All of our titles have come via aging vets, youth, and big time free agent moves. A 10-6 record in November and a loss to Boston doesn't change that. "Quick Fixes" gotten us more titles in the last 10yrs than every fire-sale having, high draft pick-having team in the league. Ask Philly how things are...

Not that this is a surprise, but it needs to change. Something like this has probably been posted before Whiteside says Heat don't run any plays for him
This kid has issues and his ego is getting way ahead of him.

We do run plays for him. We just don't run plays where we just come up the court and dump the ball inside and let him work. He doesn't have that type of game yet. But everyone in the offense that's a ball handler seems to make a conscious effort to find him when he has good position.

  • I believe wholeheartedly there are 0 plays in the playbook for Whiteside. Him throwing up his arms in frustration in the post is not a designed "play". Majority of his points are off impromptu lobs from Wade and putback dunks. Why do we never see any high-low action between he and Bosh, with Whiteside on the block and Bosh on the key (ala Boozer/Noah a few years ago). Has no one on the staff thought of this?
  • Dragic may have lost confidence in his shot but he isn't a scrub, and they should stop using him like Mario Chalmers. You don't pay a pg 90 million to have him watch Wade handle the ball 90% of the time. Let your point guard bring the ball up the court and run the offense. Also pay attention to the pick and rolls from Bosh & Whiteside, majority of the time they are setting picks on his non-dominant hand, those picks need to be coming on the left side where he can come off and attack the basket.
Unlike last year's team, this group will win some games off talent. But if they don't start to tweak this offensive to maximize the collective talents of the group then they have a 2nd round ceiling. I have no problem feeding guys when they are hot but I thought hero ball left town last summer.
