He's the worst at that. Dude shows up in primetime when he's going against his buddy Lebron or Durant or Melo. He regularly mails it in on other nights. Just on the court going through the motions, wondering what pair of tight pants he's gonna wear in the postgame interview. He's been doing it since his prime, Spo has always looked the other way. The one time he got called out for it this happened:

Lmao I remember watching this game at the buffalo wild wings at the mall in Hicksville. Thing is, what can spo say that would hold weight with prime wade? He was fresh off costing us the 2011 title, so I can't imagine anyone was taking him seriously. If this were Riley, I would give him the benefit of the doubt that the players would tune in. He has just a bit more credibility in most people's eyes. He was definitely hurt in this game though. Just got his knee drained. Scored 99 or 100 points over the next 3 games though.

wade used to butt heads with riley too, albeit in private and not in public. he wouldn't show up riley like he did spo in public for the very reason you described, riley had equity and commanded respect.

Gambling heavy there. Honestly the best move if we can make it is pay Whiteside and move bosh if that's what it takes to have room for durant should he be willing to sign here. Losing Whiteside sets us back 5-10 years depending on if we get lucky finding another cornerstone.

yea what its a gamble i know Riles is going to do. its a high risk high reward type of thing. but i agree we cant lose whiteside he is going to be a defensive juggernaut for a while.
