"No one in this locker room is intimidated by them," 19-year-old rookie Justise Winslow said about the defending NBA champions. "We respect them. That's what this game is about. Earning respect and giving it. But no one is intimidated."

The crown prince of Miami has spoken :myman:

Golden State is the fastest team to reach 50 wins, and its 50-5 record has the team on course to surpass the Michael Jordan-led Chicago Bulls' mark of 72-10 from the 1995-96 season. These Warriors and those Bulls could have an intriguing connection to this Heat franchise.

Exactly 20 years ago this week -- a month before Winslow was born -- a ragtag, shorthanded Miami team planted one of the few blemishes on the Bulls' stellar record. Rex Chapman scored 39 points on a magical night when the Heat, with nine available players, stunned Chicago 113-104 on Feb. 23, 1996.

Hope we dont get blasted :whoo:

I'm curious, do the Heat have enough cap room to throw the max at Whiteside? I know y'all don't got his bird rights and it's mean a long time since a team hasn't had the bird rights to a player that's about to get paid a lot of money so I can't really remember how it works.

i mean of course pat has bosh's health and well-being in mind, as he should. but he's also the president/GM who has to look out for the best interests of his team. can't pay someone the max who can only play half the season:manny:

I feel a little guilty for even considering that but it is a business.

Y'all really worry too much about who you think should b starting.

Who cares. The best players/matchups are gonna get the most minutes anyway.

Remember, the Finishing 5 is just as important
except that the pacers damn near won the game in the first 5 minutes simply because we didn't have hassan and winslow out there. once they came in, the entire course of the game changed. team just had to work that much harder to get it to OT because they were in such a huge hole. you don't wanna give the opposing team a full head of steam like that right out the gate. and also, if starting hassan means we have a better chance to sign him then start his ass. it's that simple. when summer comes and hassan starts meeting with other teams, they will probably base their entire presentation around hassan not starting and not being appreciated in miami. "you won't ever have to worry about coming off the bench here hassan....you gonna be the man":jawalrus:......no great player is signing to a team just to come off the bench. doesn't matter if he finishes the game or not. you START and finish with your best players. end of story.
