Chick I was talking to in high school was reading the books and put me on to the movies. At the time only 2 were out. Watched the 1st one and enjoyed it. Saw the 2nd and was like damn this shyt dope as fukk.
Never liked the 3rd film tho. shyt was all boring and dark compared to the first 2. Story was hard to follow as well. Eventually saw the rest as they came out and got even more impressed.
Never went back to read the books tho. fukk all that.

When the books and first movie dropped I felt the same way. shyt seemed lame how popular it was. I was forced to see the second movie in the theater and loved it, ended up reading the books off the strength of it and I'm glad I did.shyt was actually aight
I was in elementary when the books were poppin and in middle school when the first movie came out, and I absolutely despised it
all the nerdy white kids with the rolling backpacks used to carry them thick ass books around all day
My girl ain’t into that type of shyt either so she’s never seen it…it’s all over hbo Max and I decided to give it a try it’s actually a decent movie…finna see what part 2 lookin like

I was in elementary too and I tried to get into it. My mom is a super Christian and didn’t want that voodoo in our house but she said as long as I’m reading

I would advise reading the books first. Some dope characters are rendered background characters for most of the movies
