This.

Tua and Herbert have the opposite strengths and weaknesses. Give Tua Herbert’s physical gifts or give Herbert Tua’s touch/Football IQ and they’d be phenomenal.

I’m a fan of both and end up watching them both like “That’s a throw the other can make.”
This is fair, from both of you. Also, if both are healthy, I think I'd rather have Tua. Neither guy has anything close to a championship ceiling, but Healthy Tua gives us a better chance to win by virtue of the aforementioned IQ...
Tua health is obviously failing him but they are in the same tier and prototype. Good balanced QBs. Neither of them are pocket passers. Neither of them can game manage for shyt. Just good balanced QBs. Can do a lot but not enough.

Herbert without question.
Man hell nah 😆 same with the Tua thing, if I have a healthy Dak I have a slightly higher ceiling...
Still young. Will be 27 starting next season. Give the guy some weapons. Wouldn't give up on him yet. Way too early to draw any conclusions..but he has to pull it toegther. Has all the physical tools but he may be slow on the mental side.
I also agree that it's too early to give up on him, I'm definitely not advocating for that! Harbaugh is a fantastic coach, I'd say if they don't have improvement next year, you have to think long term about Herbert. Because Harbaugh's resume is way more proven than Herbert's; if LA doesn't improve next year you gotta think Herbert is part of the problem, not Harbaugh...
People love to live in the moment. You'd think the guy was trash in the other playoff game he played. They went up 27-0 and got outcoached. Both games on the road. He threw for 1TD 0 INT 273 yards. Lawrence threw 4 picks. His coach was just ass.

Today was different. He was not good at all, so I'm not sure why folk are trying to hang him. Let's see what he does next year.
Oh hell nah don't do that, he was trash in the second half of that playoff game. Herbert missed throws that game too, you may wanna go back and watch that game. You can't give up that 27-point lead and omit the quarterback from blame, just like Ryan doesn't escape blame for the Falcons blowing the Super Bowl just because he didn't turn it over. If you watched that meltdown Ryan also clearly left plays on the field...

We have to see them get him some weapons now and what he can do with them. This was supposed to be a rebuilding year for them anyway. Defintiely not a good look though for him to be throwing 4 picks. No one to blame for that but himself. If he wants to be or is elite he will learn from that performance and be better next time. If not he is what he is.

I'm not here to slander him but I will say that I haven't seen a guy get propped up by the media without doin shyt in his career like this in a while.

Every conversation about QBs and the media just throws him in the top 5-10 without a second thought. :dahell:

I said this 2 years ago and he still hasn't done shyt :pachaha:

Herbert isn't just a guy. He's not a top level QB but he's in the next tier down and he's good enough to be on a Super Bowl winning team. I mean if we go A, B, C, D, E in levels he's a B tier.

They were up 27-0. He could have been better but it was his 1st playoff game on the road. Y’all stay exaggerating.

Payton always had an elite processor, pre snap and post snap read. Payton also always made life easy for his WRs with catchable balls. I can see your point on pocket manipulation but that verison of Payton played in a NFL where you can still drive WRs out of routes. Just was a different league and it was why RBs were so important in that era.
