Exactly. Gannon was a product of a great system.
Who else did as well as Gannon did in Grudens' system?? Steve Young played in a great system, do we hold it against him? Marc Bulger played in the same great system that Kurt Warner did. Why couldnt he repiicate the results? Great system or not, you still have to execute.

The point is he had higher regard than Mason Rudolph. What is Rudolph good at again? That shyt is an insult to Gannon. I'm old enough to remember him pre-Raiders.

Nah Brandon Staley sucks as a head coach and was the worst thing to happen to the kid. That dude find ways to lose every week. Herbert on the Phins with Mcdaniels is running through the league
Ever since Herbert was in college people would blame the coach for holding him back.

Back then it was Mario Cristobal (@skyrunner1) which started this narrative that Mario is a "QB killer". I don't even like Mario as a HC and don't like the program he currently coaches at, but that whole narrative was made up to protect Herbert.

Now Staley did suck as a HC, that is true. But now that Harbaugh is in LA, Herbert is continuing to do what he's always done. And Jim has had history with QBs, mostly good. And has proven to be a good coach in both college and pros, so it's not all Jim.

Greg Roman is literally a terrorist that sabotaged Lamar with his horrible pass concepts....

Gannon had 43 TDs and 43 picks at the same age Rudolph is right now. He had more opportunities but he isn't any better than Rudolph has been during his chances (28/20 TD/INT ratio for Rudolph's career).

Gannon was 20-19 to this point; Rudolph is 9-8-1. They're the same guy.

Rudolph has no skill. Gannon could run. Keep in mind, Gannon played in a totally different era. Comparing stats is retarded.

Herbert is still a top 5 QB. There aren't 5 guys I would take ahead of him. Yeah he had a terrible game, but Peyton threw for 4 picks and had a 35 QB rating in the 2003 AFC Championship game when he was a year older than Herbert, and Manning did that with 2 HOF WRs and a HOF RB on the field. Like early Manning, Herbert is a generational talent who just needs to clean up some little tendencies here and there and get a better supporting cast. Crazy to see people claim he has a processing/decision making problem like he didn't just have the lowest interception percentage in the league.

Herbert has talent but doesn't have "it."

Not sure why he stays getting a pass except that he plays for the Chargers, "looks the part" :mjpls: and has a big arm.

They've changed things around multiple times but the results are still the same. He's VERY lucky to be playing for a low-profile franchise AND being white. That will keep the shyt talk to a minimum.

Heard he comes from a well-to-do/rich family, so maybe he lacks that innate drive. Of course Mahomes dad was an MLB player and TB12 grew up well off...so rich kids can still be great QBs.
