anybody in the south from the 90s could easily sell 20k hand to hand if they hustle right. he didnt sell 20k soundscan in 1993.


thats why Cash Money shyt from before Universal deal had such high sales for independent music...that whole southern belt of Texas, Louisiana, and a few other states put a lot of work in together and a lot of their artists got on because of it.

A lot of Southern labels like No Limit/Rap-A-Lot/Cash Money fukked around with UPC bar codes which boosted they sales.

Not all them regional acts were really going Gold and Plat.
