Superbowl haltime numbers never include international numbers, Nielson numbers are USA only
yes Nielson is USA only but are you dumb? Why would we be the only country to track television viewership? You only know solely about Nielsen because you live in states. And you spelled it wrong, mister big shot…

They're not missing because they're never included. Int numbers aren't included in the actual game ratings via Nielsen

How many people watch the Super Bowl in USA?

Each year, the Super Bowl sets the bar for viewing numbers in the United States.

Super Bowl 59 between the Eagles and the Chiefs set the all-time record, averaging 127.7 million viewers. It peaked at 137.7 million during the second quarter. The previous record-holder came a year before, where 123.7 million viewers tuned in for the Chiefs’ overtime victory over the 49ers.

How many people watch the Super Bowl around the world?

While international viewership is a bit harder to track, what's easy to assume is millions watch the Super Bowl in other countries. In 2024, the NFL reported 62.5 million global viewers outside the U.S., a 10% increase from the previous year, with strong numbers in Mexico, Canada, UK, and Germany.

When combining U.S. and international audiences, total numbers often exceed 150 million, with some analyses suggesting figures closer to 200 million or more.

So why say this in response to the original article in the OP post...

It says it’s missing the international numbers

knowing you would have to add on international numbers for all the previous superbowl 1/2 time performances to even the comparison?:comeon:

Where? :jbhmm:
The only place I see that number is TPUSA themselves.
YouTube for starters.

They’re at 21M

I know it’s cool to hate but staying with the facts is liberating. They confirmed they’re doing it again for next year.

If we're counting tube views after the fact, add another 70M to BBs numbers, lol. Kid Rock's Livestream show peaked at 6M.

Okay. What’s your point? No one said it was overthrowing the halftime show. However, those are numbers that the NFL do not want to see grow.

They literally created the halftime show to stop that after what In Living Color did.

Dude, you're missing the point: Superbowl ratings and their 1/2 time performances NEVER include views outside of the USA!!!! If you want to add on Bad Bunny's int numbers, you're going to have to do the same for all of the previous halftime performances!

^^all of these would have higher numbers if you added international views, especially MJ

Yes, that is a list of domestic numbers, which they report, and they also report international numbers in addition to this. :why:

The point of the AAHTS was to show that BB was not popular with "Real America", and they could pull a significant amount of views away from the NFL. They failed at that. 6M vs 120+M is not even worth talking about. Also, look at the comments on the AAHTS vid. All the top comments are shytting on it. I'd bet a quarter of the views are hate views. Compare it to BBs comments.

The views won't grow. This was culture war grifting, and if someone from a more "mainstream America" friendly genre comes next year, even those meager numbers will fall off a cliff.

My Pops Forever RIP
Yall are hung up on this Chris Brown example to support daddy NFL when I said it’s an opportunity for anyone. The U.S. or the world in general doesn’t owe our attention to do. If ANYONE wants to do something during halftime to take some of that audience, there is a market for them.
That market has always been there, but nobody was going through with it because they could never outdraw the SB halftime show. The NFL switched up because In Living Color outdrew them. The counter programming can only be fragmented further if more outlets try it.

Thank you. Someone else with business sense. Commentators keep making this political. Some liberal-friendly people can put on a show too if they don’t like next years performer. This exposed that there is a huge enough market for alternative entertainment during the halftime show.

Folks looking down on 6 million viewers. It’s a big deal. Especially for an audience you don’t have to heavily advertise for.

6 million movie tickets at $15 each is $90M

That’s avengers numbers.

6 million here, 500k there, a million here, adds up real quick in the internet era.
