I think I've personally been listening to K since around 2004. The album that really got me hooked I reckon though as a listener for every release and made me go and check everything was Solitary Confinement. I could well be wrong but that's my recollection as of now. Was some joints I really fukked with on that album though like...

Infact there's quite a few from that album lol. So might be a good one to start. I know it worked for me...

Pac, Face, Nas, Cube, Kool G Rap, KRS, to name a few. But does he have any albums where he kicking that trill shyt about the Government, The Industry, Consciousness? I heard that I Got 5 on it jawn and thats up my alley

I feel you, HELL yeah. That's one of his major topics. I'm gonna get back to you with an album recommendation asap. We have similar tastes so could well like the shyt too, some of my favourite rappers also Pac, Face, Nas, KRS, G Rap and them, all in my top 20.

one of my favorite Rino joints ever came off of the first Triple Darkness though

What you gonna do when your hustle fall dead
And boys start checking you on every word that you said?
When you start getting snatched by these racist ass hogs
And the friends that you thought you had throw you to the dogs?
What you gonna do if martial law come around
And these laws rush in and start shutting things down
And the life that you thought was real proved counterfeit
And the money that you kill over's no longer worth shyt?

REAL shyt

I didn't realize how hard this was gonna be lol. But I started skimming through some of the albums and the type of content you mentioned it littered throughout so much of his work.

I'd say a good starting place might be Solitary Confinement, that's the one that got me I guess. I feel it's a pretty well rounded album.

Soul Merchants for is quite a powerful song about the industry, I'm really feeling the beat, great lyrics, it's about artists that sell out.

Grand Deception is one of the more famous of his tracks, which is along the lines of the content you mentioned.

I Can't Tell is one about the feminisation of men nowadays. But done in a comical way.

Who Killed The Realness, kind of can guess what the songs about from the name.

So that's just one of many. I'd say to try skim at least these albums and see if your feeling anything...

  • 2010: Annihilation Of The Evil Machine [27]
  • 2011: Alien Baby [28]
  • 2011: The Day Of The Storm [29]
  • 2012: Deeper Elevation [30]
  • 2012: 80 Minute Eternity [31]
  • 2013: The Maven [32]
  • 2013: TheRAPeutic[33]

Other albums I hear mentioned often are...

  • 1995: Danger Zone (The "Danger Zone" album is not available on ITunes for unknown reasons)

Those two are probably more in line with a Face, Ice Cube, with hints of KRS. KRS One is probably K-Rino's favourite rapper, so he was certainly an influence.

I'd just try to listen to as much as possible as everyone seems to have different opinions depending on their personal preferences. And see what you liked, but if you liked the I Got Five On it shyt your bound to really really feel some of the albums.

A lot of people are amazed by his lyrical ability, depth and creativity, I've listened to so many artists over the years, I LOVE Hip Hop, lyrically K-Rino is the absolute greatest I've ever heard thus far. And I rate him hugely, he is a true artist as he can touch and relate to you in numerous deep and hard hittin ways.

He's definitely one of rap's best kept secrets.

Truth be told, when I first heard him off just a song or 2, I thought all he had was sick battle raps. I heard an entire album (Worst Rapper Alive I believe it was) and was like :ohhh::whoo::mindblown:

Dude can kick sick battle raps, tell a dope story, actually have a message in his songs, and just put out a banger if he wants to.

He's what A LOT of rappers want to be: versatile

That's one of the biggest misinterpretations I notice about him. Some people think he only does battle shyt, that's completely false, he has albums worth of emotional, spiritual, social/political, conceptual material. That's why people always got to delve deeper with an artist, you can never get a full impression of a few songs. I'm not easy to impress, I've been around some great rappers, and I've heard 1000's of rappers, but K-Rino has shyt that has amazed me. As an MC, lyricist, artist, conceptually, he really is brilliant. He is a lyrical genius. His lyrics are often impeccable. His emotional work has touched me deeply. He is a diverse artist. He's a natural born artist like his song lol. Yeah, his messages are ill. And yeah he's got a bunch of bangers too, he even has some shyts that got played in clubs lol. I even liked the Don't Know Why track lol. I like a lot of his work, he has a lot of different styles, humorous, lyrical, emotional, spiritual, conceptual, creative, so much, he's a joy to listen to.

That's not a bad choice at all.

The intro, that first verse was crazy. Thought Amnesia was a great concept song, someone I know lost their memory and they told me they related a lot to that one.

Pain And Betrayal was some deep shyt. A lot of tight songs.

Original message got deleted so just wrote this quick lol.
