No he didn't start off like that at all, that just illustrates the masses of diversity and mastery he has as an MC he can do various styles. He was always intellectual and a lyrical rapper, having dope lyrics isn't a bad thing, though when necessary he can alter it to make it more simplistic if need be, but CAN ramp it up when need be. Stay with the conversation and you may actually learn something...

Ignorant? Maybe not. He has aggressive songs though, many. He does have some club esq songs, but he ain't the type of rapper that you play at strip joints and shyt, but he has made that kind of player/pimp style music, especially in the younger days, but even on the Scarface collab joint had that kind of vibe somewhat. Truly 1 of the most diverse artists. He has probably the most concept records in Hip Hop history, that's some feat.
