Kaep will likely be signed DURING the season. Here's why...

If he does it will probably be a bullshyt Josh Freeman/Vikings type situation where he's forced right into the fire with little chance to succeed. Then if he bombs Albert Breer types/dumb fans can just say "see, he's just not that good".
I don't see any owner willing to alienate a large segment of his fanbase and cause long-term friction with them for a temporary stopgap situation that will most likely end up as disastrous as that Freeman situation.

baby, that was the old me
He's right imo tho....sure Kaep is better than a number of QBs and he could probably start on a few teams....but like he said, his average talent coupled with the distraction are what's costing him.

The average and below average QBs come without the controversial headlines. He just doesn't bring enough to turn a blind eye to it.

I've said it million times...the nfl is a business and this looks like a business decision.

So teams don't care about the best chance for winning?

Apparently not when it comes with financial loss and bad publicity.

Kaep being their "best chance" isn't enough for teams to look the other way

As of May of this year, Kap had one of the highest selling jerseys in the league and was one of the highest selling jerseys last season to boot.

Try again....

which is why you can't really hold out hope for him to sign, even now. He's gotta learn the playbook, get some sort of continuity with the team, etc. His best bet woulda been that Miami job. After that, you're only gonna sign guys you know or guys who understand what offense you run. Unfortunately, Kaep's main coaches were either green themselves and not in a position of power to hire him or influence a hire or gone altogether. His OC during his peak is now a TE coach in Baltimore.

He's not going to play even if he wa ssigned today. Earliest he would play is like mid season till end of the season. Takes a long time to learn the playbook and get the system down, build rapport with teammates and such.

He's done.

You're literally fukking insane.

He's not a good quarterback. He's not winning any team any games.

If he put up 30 touchdowns last year and threw 15 interceptions, he'd have a job.

186 yards per game

This averages to what, 2 tds for every interception? He actually had 4 for every interception so :patrice:

Jerseys? Get real...:what:

What about single game ticket holders?
What about season ticket holders?
What about Club box and luxury holders?
What bout their sponsors?

Jerseys don't make up the the vast amount revenue :why:

In a few sentences, Giants co-owner John Mara might have perfectly summed up the Colin Kaepernick situation from a team's perspective.

"All my years being in the league, I never received more emotional mail from people than I did about that issue," Mara told The MMQB. "If any of your players ever do that, we are never coming to another Giants game. It wasn't one or two letters. It was a lot. It's an emotional, emotional issue for a lot of people, more so than any other issue I've run into."

Why don't you ask Mara to read those emails and see if those people are worth catering to.

I bet those emails carried a warm, clean and chummy spirit.

You're co-signing a coward.

Lol you believe that if a team signs Kap, that they are going to lose a vast amount of "support" and revenue :mjlol:???

I bet the Giants fans who would stop supporting the team WOULD NOT be missed

:mjlol: you knowing better than the teams owners...

you guys have go to get real with yourselves....the league is NOT GOING to risk waving bye to a large part of their customer base to appease a few people who think that it's the "right thing to do" for an average qb.

What part of this don't yall get???

He's average and brings controversy and negative attention with him..right or wrong...that's wha it is....other QBs, who are average or below...don't bring the same thing. Right or wrong...that's what it is...

say what you want...teams are playing it safe...so I get that side of it.

not that good... how many other "not that good" and even "good" and even "great" qbs have never played in a super bowl? let alone multiple playoff runs.. let alone his td-int ratio last year

nikka out here playing on the worst team in the nfl without him.. a team that still looks shytty as hell this year.. and that's what you gonna judge him on? tom brady couldn't win 8 games with the niners

but ok fine... judge him on his team.... but then when he plays excellent, you'll turn around and say "it was all the defense and coaching"

so he does good, he gets no credit... he plays for a shytty team, it's all his fault his numbers ain't great :camby:

meanwhile the highest paid guy in the nfl is this guy:

meanwhile the bills just signed this guy:

but kaep ain't signed because he's not better than any other QB in the NFL
