Come on now. He snuck Goku to win in the buu saga and then proceeded to die.
He never cared to. Goku just wanted to enjoy himself. He's the kind of person to fight at his opponent's level just to have fun.

so we just ignoring they only got into that mess was because Vegeta needed a power boost because he knew he couldn’t beat Goku straight up and then proceeded to sneak him when even with the boost he could only fight a Goku that was holding back to a draw.
Vegeta was like a toddler throwing a tantrum and Goku was just letting him wear himself out until he agreed to fight with him. Then he blew himself up and still didn’t get the job done. All Vegeta does is fukk up and has to wait until Goku or Gohan cleans up his mess.
