to be fair though, thats basically the rules for ALL of the corporate world, not just for a certain race.
sports is OK, because most times its just friendly banter. but Religion, politics, and race are very polarizing topics.
get two white dudes talking politics or religion from differeing views and you are bound to have some kind of nonsense as well.
those topics are considered taboo to talk at work. and for good reason.

How are you going to stand up for an issue you believe in if you silence yourself when it matters?
You don't have to argue, but it's important to speak up. I've been in situations where superiors have said stuff I don't agree with, and I make it known (in a tactful manner, of course). Venting online isn't going to make a difference.
