Bama looking like LSU towards the end of the Les Miles and Coach O regimes. At least we got a couple nattys out of them.
The problem is no one will be Saban or win with that kinda efficiency. That’s some once in a lifetime type shyt.
Most programs are content with 9 plus wins and a bowl game but Bama thinks they should be competing for nattys year in and year out and Saban got their fan base and boosters spoiled for all those years.
Better be content with being an above average program and competing for an SEC title and/or natty every few years instead of year in and year out.
Also the transfer portal changed the game. You can’t stockpile all those 5 star guys now. If they not playing they are moving on to the next program now.
Nobody stays on top forever and the younger fans don’t remember when they were largely irrelevant after Bear Bryant retired until Saban came to town.

It'll work in the SEC.... he just has to recruit for that..... while making sure Alabama can hang with the best when it comes to battling in the trenches.
I remember when they said the spread wouldn't work in the SEC....
