AOC does the same thing;

I've got family in the Bronx

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Puts Yorktown Heights on the Map

:mjlol:the place is 95% White and Asian

Her architect CEO daddy (RIP) gave her and apartment :mjlol:

Politicians as fake as rappers
You're running conservative talk points.
She was born and raised in the Bronx, until her dad bought a fairly cheap house in Yorktown Heights, and they moved.
He died and she spent years trying to settle his estate, so she could actually get the property he owned.

Her father owned his own architect firm, you're putting "CEO" to imply he was a millionaire, when he wasn't

They still haven't learned from Trump...

It's frustrating when you see Trump win an election speaking whatever he wanted, not playing it safe and meanwhile still have politicians playing safe, and on some bullshyt:francis:
Trump won in key-states but lost the popular by millions of votes though and that was vs Hillary Clinton one of the most hated people. Especially by the non-educated. And a lot of votes came from "the lesser of two evils", most republicans will always vote republican and the same for democrats.

At the end of the day, Trump said a lot of shyt but the main things he talked about, he hasn't delivered on. The only thing he's delivered on is shyt he really wasn't talking about, tax cuts, which benefited the classic republicans that voted for Cruz, Kasich, Rubio etc.

So if that's the type of politician you want, you might as well vote for the Green party or the libertarians. I'd rather have an Obama type, who doesn't promise much in detail but what he promises is reasonable and can be/is achieved.

I hope Biden announces soon, or some unknown cat like Obama was. People who are bad for the economy and the ones that are the worst for black people.

you missed the point. ADOS aren't Africans at this point. we may have roots we can trace to Africa but our identity culturally and economically is rooted here in America from the slaves that put in work to build America. Not Africa. I cannot trace anything back to Africa at this point. I can trace my lineage through the slave trade in this country. The whole idea in getting ADOS to claim Africa as a legitimate lineage is to covertly forfeit anything that was built by the more verifiable roots and claim we have here in this country. Not Africa.

You're wrong...African-American culture is a continuation of African culture under an ecology of outright oppression toward anything African. Just because you don't know the connection does not mean it does not exist. African-Americans or ADOS or Foundational Black Americans whatever nomenclature you prefer ARE an African people, PERIOD. Our culture is different than other West Africans but what does that mean when the culture between Yoruba and Xhosa are different too? The Hausa and the Oromo have different cultures does that negate their African-ness? We may be our own tribe now but that does not make us a separate people...if we were considered American our people wouldn't be getting shot dead in the streets by police with impunity. Let's just go over some basic connections between African-Americans and the motherland.
  1. African-American Vernacular English which is the dialect of English that AA's speak is a blend of British English, Irish English, and a plethora of West African languages. That's why we have trouble saying consonant clusters like COLD, BOLD, TALK, and etc. because they are not present in a lot of West African language. It's similar to how Koreans and Japanese have a problem with the letter "L"...if you say "CODE" instead of "COLD" that is directly from your ancestors from AFRICA! Click the link so you can learn from Linguist Dr. Ernie Smith.
  2. African-American food has roots in Africa from Collard Greens, Okra, Red Peas, Rice, Gumbo, and more. The Humble History of Soul Food
  3. African-American music is clearly African as well. @Diasporan Royalty actually made a lengthy thread about it: Refuting the myth that Black American music/culture is "Europeanized".

So I conclude this to say that just because you do not see the African connection DOES NOT mean it doesn't exist. You're looking for Dashikis and Tribal Masks not seeing that the African in you is present in everything you do every day. The US Government doesn't hate you because you're American...it hates you because you're African point blank period. African-Americans seeing themselves as their own tribe and putting their culture first DOES NOT mean the they are no longer an African people.

Think about how the previous Generation supported Bill Clinton.
Calling Him the 1st black president.

As he was locking us up at a rate never seen before in history. For that alone, of course people think we're stupid.

They were not expecting us to demand things for ourselves.
When Zach de la Rocha called him a "dixiecrat" during the first RATM tour:lawd:

ADOS, or what you refer to as "African American" culture is the furthest thing from ACTUAL African culture. African culture is birthed out of inhabiting a particular location on the continent of Africa whilst being able to identify with language, foods, rites of passage and other identifiable markers of lineage pertaining to that location.

Those of us who are ADOS have none of that. Our culture was birthed entirely from being enslaved, surviving slavery, and oppression in a country that purposely tried to own our physicality and destroy our spirituality. Africa culturally is void from what it took for us to even be here and talk about that at this present moment. What the fukk did Africa have to do with 400 years of us being here and surviving this bullshyt? Not a goddamn thing.

ADOS are an entirely independent and unique group of people with a very specific claim to a very specific cause and Africa has shyt do do with it.

Whatever your rebuttal is, there will be no more going back and forth. All that Africa rah rah shyt is over. ADOS people know what's up and our claim is American because the people we can trace built this shyt. Sure, there's African ancestry in our blood....but who are are fundamentally is American blackness.

That's hog wash. There are several things that we took from Africa that still is apparent today. We used african grammar rules while learning English, hence, AAVE (ie Ebonics), for instance.

There's is a disconnection between us and our homeland no doubt, we should be trying to transcend that disconnection instead of furthering it.

The void you speak of is a direct result of white supremacy, colonialism, and imperialism. But instead of acknowledging and repairing that, you isolate yourself from the African diaspora, while asking the white man for a check.

A key step in the enslavement process was to violently force us to accept a slave identity. Looks like you have accepted the terms imposed by your oppressor. Sad

you sound silly. we are not accepting a slave identity. we are accepting an identity of ascending and descending from people who were enslaved while simultaneously building the most powerful infrastructure the modern world has ever known...for free. in a country that DIDN'T BELONG TO US.

AFRICANS FROM AFRICA on the other hand...WERE THE MAJORITY...HAD THEIR OWN COUNTRY...GOT IT TAKEN FROM THEM AND THEN RAN TO THE US WHEN THE COAST WAS CLEAR. WE ARE NOT THE fukkING SAME. ADOS built shyt from NOTHING. When AFRICANS had EVERYTHING and allowed it all to slip away. THEN LEFT THEIR HOMELAND TO ASSIMILATE AS AFRICAN AMERICANS IN A STRUGGLE THEY HAD NO REAL CONNECTION TO. ADOS laid the groundwork. Everyone else is trying to come in off our shyt. Now that we want to be known as a separate group, the AFRICANS want us to keep that connection when that connection economically has meant nothing for over half a millennia.

Africans coming here after they fukked their own shyt up and sold the ADOS out are fukkin' cowards B.

You're doing this while also discounting the identity you had before the white man stripped it from you.

I find it sad that you are insulting Africans for succumbing to the same white supremacy that has its foot in your ass currently.

“Africans from Africa” that’s literally what African-Americans are...you sound like you don’t know history.
