Nonsense? I love Kanye but that shyt was mad strange. shyt was the equivalent of Quentin Tarantino talking like a black dude. Justjustify the "talking white" nonsense in whatever way you can....be ignorant brehs
Kanye used to be such an artist to me, I just have so many mixed feelings about what he has evolved into. That's not why. I just like what he represents. He's intelligent and provocative and I appreciate his art. I like him more each time I hear an interview with him.

it wasn't about the words he was using. his voice sounded COMPLETELY different. It wasn't like he just suddenly developed a better vocabulary. Listen him talking on that MTV Life and Rhymes shyt and compare it to his appearance on that talk show.I hate when people say "talking white" or "talking black." Sure, certain slang may be attributed to a white or black person, but speaking properly isn't a racial thing. Don't hear anyone say "you sound white" to Chinese or East Indian people who speak properly, for example. If you're fortunate to be educated, you'll speak properly because if you know better, you do better. Also, it depends on your surroundings. At work, I'm more careful and sophisticated with how I speak. Around my family/friends, I use more slang/speak more casually...may swear here and there etc.

I remember watching this shyt when I was younger and was just blown away
It doesn't bother me at all.it wasn't about the words he was using. his voice sounded COMPLETELY different. It wasn't like he just suddenly developed a better vocabulary. Listen him talking on that MTV Life and Rhymes shyt and compare it to his appearance on that talk show.
feels like nowadays he has left the artistry by the wayside.. I'm not even strictly talking about his music, but his personality.. He was humble as hell, charismatic, funny and downright lovable on that Life and Rhymes shyt.. I miss that Kanye..I still like him a lot. To me, an artist will evolve and try new things. Sometimes they work, sometimes...not so much. I just appreciate anyone who's willing to try something outside of his/her comfort zone.
That was a Kanye who wasn't pursued by paparazzi every day, trying to mock him and provoke him to say something that will make him look stupid. Experiences do change a person, unfortunately.feels like nowadays he has left the artistry by the wayside.. I'm not even strictly talking about his music, but his personality.. ^^
I don't think he's more mature today than he was back then... I think money has changed him..

shyt is beautiful. It's a perfect example of why I'm so conflicted about Kanye today. He was so pure back thenThanks for posting the life & rhymes... its so nice to see this again...

look at how intelligent, humble, and charismatic he was..look at how he connects with the audience and just talks with them.
