Damn a lot of yall are making great points. I still support Kanye even though he married a Kardashian. I agree his music is trying to compete with the sound a lot of the younger acts are doing but Ye has always done sounds that reflected the hot sound of the time, 808 heart break was mostly auto tune when that was being whored out left and right. But Jay does that shyt too, I love Jay-z but he gets no pass doing the sounds that younger cats do to make his music more appealing.


I wanted to get Yeezus, based off the SNL performances of Black Skinhead & New Slaves, but never got around to it. I was surprised to see it not do as well but it is what it is. I hope this is all just hype to get his next one more in demand. Like everyone else i want the Kanye from ten years ago to resurface. But he's a different person than 10 years ago. He's got the Kardashian's on his team now...

Yeezus did turn alotta ppl off. However, so did 808's when it first came out. Then MBDTF happened and nikkaz jumped RIGHT back on the dikk.

If nikkaz out here saying 808's is classic, the same will happen for Yeezus in due time. dikk-riding 808's is more common now than it was in 2008. It's been 2 years since Yeezus and ppl still shytting on it.

I just think it's hilarious how he's being written off just because of that one album. I think he can pull off a more normal sounding album. But who knows. Kanye too unpredictable.

Unless he does make another Yeezus sounding album, he might alienate his fanbase further.

All Day went hard in the streets debuted at #15 on the billboards, but it was an average song, too inspired by rappers who are in a very small niche market (Travis Scott).
Bound 2 was pretty huge and Yeezus was one of the highest reviewed albums of 2013 did not go plat but did like 700k, despite it being the hiphop album with the most challenging sound of all times.Four Five Seconds which he produced and performed was #4? The other song he did Only One did alright and was on the billboard for ages.

Kanye will never be Kanye who went platinum first week again but he's doing fine, he can still go gold first week like Jigga if he choose to not release super hard shyt that can't played on radio and actually starts giving a fukk about sales and such like say Jay.
