Some of ya'll come off as people who hate Hip Hop. So a rapper could never get paid big money for Vegas residency b/c they lack stage presence and showmanship. Like Britney Spears is some dynamic performer.
I would like to know the answer as well.
Artists that do Vegas residency are seen as something to check out once you finished hitting the slots. You dont want to do that when you are in your prime.

these days with the music... but he just sold 10 million 2-3 years ago and still sells out every stadium he goes to nationally and internationallydoing 1 show is not doing 100 shows.. beyonce ain't tying herself to vegas.. this is one of the reasons why we said no rapper can do this... cause their careers aren't gonna be put on hold to live in vegas for 150 days out of the year
they actually have real shyt to be doing... britney ain't doing nothing new or need interviews, press, tour, etc etc.. ye ain't trying to sit around vegas when he got beats to make, new music to make and shyt to sell

then add in brit is getting 475k A SHOW!!! you'd have to draw those crowds every 2 days to pay for it.. 70, 565, 600, 2500 tickets and shyt.. you talking brit and celine who have both sold over 100 million records

The Hip Hop artists who would draw those kinds of crowds are still putting out music that people are paying money for. They don't have to do residencies. It's not necessarily about them moving 100 million records. There's other living artists who belong to that 100 million+ club, but don't have residencies. Some of them are still putting out music that sells more than what a Britney Spears and Celine Dion album would sell combined worldwide if they released an album now. One of those artists is a rapper.
Furthermore, a lot of people who cop the top sellers by Hip Hop artists aren't necessarily Hip Hop fans. It's not like Britney's target audiences are her core fans either. The songs and albums that were huge were big with teeny boppers who are grown-ups now
